I don't know if it's a good idea from Iggy's point of view to be lending her name to so many (hit) songs at once. She's very much 'in' at the moment but people won't invest in her as an artist down the line if there's overkill now and she's seemingly willing to collaborate on everything she's offered.

With 1 being an urban hit, 1 fizzling out at the moment and one other being an album track, I wouldn't call it "lending herself to everything" just yet.

Admittedly I haven't heard this yet but I'm so bored of Iggy featuring on every song going (or rumoured to be - exaggeration I know), especially when people suddenly think the song is a million times better (or would be) just because of her when all of her guest rap verses usually sound the same to me.

 

I'm starting to get on board with Iggy as an artist in her own right as I've liked both 'Fancy' and 'Black Widow' but people's massive overreactions to her on here (I'm not just referring to this topic) when she turns up with a guest rap verse make it much harder for me to want to get on board with her! :P

Loving her guest rap although I'd rather have both her AND Pitbull just to make it even more *.* worthy :kink: Iggy's name gets me more excited for a track cause she's had such a strong track record, No Mediocre would be so much worse without Iggy for example (her bit is the only bit I really care for in it). Definitely not overexposure for me right now.

This song is nothing without the "BOOTYBOOTYBOOOTY" of Pitbull.

I just think it'll cheapen her name for some if she's everywhere and is seen to lack selectivity with regard to featuring on others' material. Personally, I don't have a problem with it but I think her team would be wise to rein it in and put all the focus on her own album campaign for now.

I kind off agree with you on the selectivity part, but it didn't really harm Nicki either did it? So I guess there's no direct harm to it, as long as the guest verses are good.

So will this be released and have a video instead of the Pitbull version ? or will the Pitbull version get single treatment with this as just the remix .

I think she tagged both Iggy and Pitbull on the tweet about the video this weekend so it's either 2 videos or the video will have both of their verses

I think people are forgetting that Nicki was EVERYWHERE like, seriously everywhere (still is to an extent) and it did not hurt her one bit. Iggy will be just fine.
