38. Let Me Down Gently- La Roux 207,370 Peak: 1

40. Torn- Natalia Imbruglia 195,880 [Total Sales: 2,440,660] 3 in 2014, 1 in whenever released

The top 40 starts with Natalia Imbruglia classic hit Torn which is the start of a section with quite a few older songs. In 39 is the first of many Frozen songs with Fixer Upper by the Frozen cast while charting in 38 is the first number one single in 2014 in this countdown- La Roux's comeback single Let Me Down Gently. However the song was very frontloaded and only spent 3 weeks in the top 20. At 37 is Rita Ora with her official UK charts number 1 while Foxes finally made an impact on my chart with Holding Onto Heaven. At 35 was Pixie Lott's Nasty but this was a massive step down from Pixie's previous album starters [Mama Do- 2,120,460 and All About Tonight 830,160]. In 34 was My Heart Will Go On which has made re-entries due to me watching Titanic a couple of times this year and is a massive selling song. In at 33 is the 1st of 2 Eurovision songs on this chart with Calm After The Storm by The Common Linnets. This was heading for number 1 on the Wednesday and Friday update the week after Eurovision before being pipped at the last second by La Roux. 32 was New Slang by The Shins which spent 8 weeks in the top 20 and re-entered the chart after I finally watched Garden State. And finally in 31 was Lana Del Rey's breakthrough Video Games which has spent over 70 weeks in the top 40 in total and has spent 12 consecutive weeks between 12-20 this year.

The rest will try to be done tonight but could be tomorrow

9. Air Balloon- Lily Allen 958,240 Peak: 2

10. Crying For No Reason- Katy B 935,670 Peak: 3

And surprise surprise, Idina Menzel storms at the top with the 5th biggest selling single of all time in my charts, probably 3rd after sales from my chart tomorrow are added. The massive hit from the 1 billion grossing movie Frozen has taken the charts by storm having over 18 weeks at the summit. The Frozen fever doesn't end there as Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel [again] duet of For the first time in forever is at 2 for the year so far and has shifted 1.6M copies despite never going over a peak of 2nd. Also Kristen Bell appears again at 6 with Do You Want To Build A Snowman which is also a million seller. Another song that never went higher than 2, human by Christina Perri is 3rd for the year after spending 4 weeks as the runner-up. She has shifted a massive 1.5M copies to date and at 4 was the return of Lana Del Rey with her comeback single West Coast that spent 3 weeks at the top. In 5 was a song that never made an impact when originally released but the band perry stormed to the top in March and If I die young is now a million seller. At 7 was Lily Allen's comeback single after 5 years which is hard out here. The 2013 track has shifted 1 million copies this year and has now sold over 4.5M in total sales. Paloma Faith wants her 2nd million seller as she sits in 8th with Can't Rely On You, Lily Allen appears again with Air Balloon that reached 2 despite going number 1 in midweek and finally in 10 was Katy B scoring her biggest hit ever sales wise despite being her lowest charting song out of her big 4 in my chart [broken record- 1, Katy on a mission and Lights On- 2]. Crying for no reason debuted at 4 and reached it's peak after an amazing sport relief performance.
