Anti Social Media - The Way You Are

I know you are all eagerly awaiting the first national thread of 2015 so here it is! Details of the Danish 2015 national final have been announced today and it will take place in Aalborg on February 7th which is, most likely, a return to being the earliest national final of the Scandinavian and Nordic countries after the move to March for the 2014 selection.

The Gigantium Arena in the northern Danish city of Aalborg will host the 2015 edition of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, it has been announced. At the same time, DR has opened the doors for song submissions.

A huge party is planned in Aalborg in February, where broadcaster DR has signed an agreement with the Aalborg Kultur & Kongres Center to host the Danish national final, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, on the 7th of February next year.

”Gigantium is the perfect venue to host Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. We have had some fantastic finals in Aalborg and I know that they know how to party and get the maximum out of having the show take place in the city”, says the Director of Entertainment at DR, Jan Lagermand Lundme.

Thank CHRIST. This year felt so empty in January with DMGP on last. AND it was FUCKING SHIT TOO
DMGP is always pretty f***ing shit except for a couple of songs at best so
Up until 2012 it was always a FINE VINTAGE, it only really went off the boil last year. This year there wasn't a SINGLE track there I cared to listen to again.

So the album has apparently leaked (or been received on CD by some people in Denmark) and the 10 songs are as follows:

Andy Roda - Love Is Love

Written by Andy Roda & Maria Hamer-Jensen

Anne Gadegaard - Suitcase

Written by Micky Skeel & Magnus Funemyr

Anti Social Media - The Way You Are

Written by Remee & Chief 1

Babou - Manjana

Written by Thomas Sardorf, Karen Rosenberg, Lasse Lindorff, Daniel Rothmann, Johannes Loeffler & Matthias Zürkler

Cecilie Alexandra - Hotel A

Written by Marcus Ubeda, Bobby Ljunggren & Kristian Lagerström

Julie Bjerre - Tæt på mine drømme

Written by Lise Cabble, Maria Danielle Andersen & Jacob Schack Glæsner

Marcel & Soulman Group - Når veje krydses

Written by Marcel Mark Gbekle, Jeanette Christiansen & Bjarne List Nissen

Sara Sukurani - Love Me Love Me

Written by Sara Sukurani, Robert Uhlmann, Alex Papaconstantinou & Arash Labaf

Tina & René - Mi Amore

Written by Thomas G:son & Henrik Sethsson

World of Girls - Summer Without You

Written by Daniel Calvin, Rune Braager & Martin Fliegenschmidt

The songs should be out there somewhere, who can find them first? :kink:

Bombo wasn't G:son! It's probably going to be a schlagery love duet.

The Lisa Cabble one should be interesting.

Listen to World of Girls here! Amazing! No chance of winning, but it's fantastic pop - reminds me a bit of Sweet California!

Bombo wasn't G:son! It's probably going to be a schlagery love duet.

I was under the impression that he was just referring to the title. Reminds me of a less good "In a Moment Like This".

World of Girls are good but I'm not totally won over on first impressions.

LIVING for Mi amore, Tæt på mine drømme og Summer Without You *.* The latter in particular reminds me of another track...I want to say Timoteij?

In a Moment Like This... I mean Mi Amore is so going to win, isn't it?

An utterly disappointing selection of inoffensive compositions. A usual year for Denmark then.

According to ESC Forum there is no superfinal this year, only one round of voting with the juries will all give 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 points to the 10 songs. Afterwards, 290 televoting points will be distributed proportionally, according to the share of votes received by each song.

This would suggest that the running order draw is more important than usual, and the running order is:

1. Sara Sukurani, 'Love Me Love Me'

2. Tina & René, 'Mi Amore'

3. Marcel & Soulman Group, 'Når veje krydses'

4. Cecilie Alexandra, 'Hotel A'

5. Andy Roda, 'Love is Love'

6. Julie Bjerre, 'Tæt på mine drømme'

7. Anti Social Media, 'The Way You Are'

8. Anne Gadegaard, 'Suitcase'

9. Babou, 'Manjana'

10. World of Girls, 'Summer Without You'

Odds are suggesting that no-one really has any idea who is going to win this!

From the ones I've heard so far I hope for a World of Girls or Anne win, although Babou is good too (but could do with a translation). Tina & René is just too much of a In A Moment Like This clone I think, hopefully 2nd in the running order will stop that winning! Anti Social Media is nice enough as well I guess, but very generic.

I wish this was this weekend, I love nearly all the songs. And I'm ready for some serious NF stanning.
It is a strong selection, Mi Amore is amazing, although completely schlager-by-numbers.
Has the compilation album leaked yet? If so could somebody PM me a link? :D

Voting
50% jury vote and 50% televote. The jury vote will consist of five regional juries who will vote immediately after the conclusion of the 10 performances. The televote will be open from the beginning of the show and will close five minutes after the juries have revealed their votes. The televoting points will then be distributed to each song in proportion to the percentage of the vote they achieved.

Who are the favourites?
According to the bookmakers, Anti Social Media are the slight favourites to win. Their closest challengers are expected to be Anne Gadegaard, Tina & René and World of Girls in that order.

It's a solid national final as always from Denmark. World of Girls and Anne Gadegaard are my favourites, but I'm discounting World of Girls' chances based on their apparently very off-key rehearsal today. In terms of the other two favourites, Anti Social Media and Tina & René both have solid songs that are nice listens but they aren't as good as the other two for me.

This will be the Eurovision show I will be focusing on tomorrow night, any national finals >> Melodifestivalen heats. (Although I will watch Eric and maybe Molly's performances afterwards) :D
