DS review:

Since their launch in 2008, The Saturdays have been a near constant fixture on the British music scene. What their impending greatest hits album, titled Finest Selection, reminds us, is that despite some wobbly moments and plenty of shoehorned product placement along the way, they've continually satiated the UK public's appetite for straight-up pop music - even if it did take them five years to claim that coveted number one single.

To celebrate the career milestone of a greatest hits collection, The Saturdays have offered up a new single that embraces everything they stand for. 'What Are You Waiting For?' - helmed by production stalwarts Xenomania - is dazzling LOL-pop with a brilliantly electrifying chorus, pose-worthy drops and suitably obvious lyrics about having the time of your life. Yes, it's generic chart fodder, but it's hugely enjoyable nonetheless. Music doesn't always have to be serious, and this can stand tall among The Saturdays' gratifying back catalogue.

I've been debited the £4.98, officially poor. The things you do when a Saturdays fan

I'm so ready for this National Lottery performance tomorrow now. I hope it can get a good boost, to help it enter iTunes higher than #75 where 'Not Giving Up' entered.

- Just saw an add for The Saturdays on ITV, looks like they're performing WAYWF.

What was the ad for?

An add for them being on This Morning, not an album add unfortunately, hopefully we'll see some from Monday though, I'll be so disappointed if we don't.

The song sounds so much better as a HQ Itunes download than as a youtube rip

Really?

I'll wait for my box to listen all three in HQ, I ordered it today so excited :kink:

Also booked trip to London, I'm basically broke now.

The beats sounded flat in my youtube rip

It sounds really anthemic now

Love the fact that they used the single as Winston's eviction track on BB

The tracks already had leaked, I forgot to post it here though sorry  I think someone leaked their Promo CD after the two songs leaked.

I got my CD single in the post today. Well actually I ordered two, which Universal charged me postage fully twice for. They sent it in the same parcel.

Watching it again, Vanessa and Mollie are definately miming in the 2nd verse

The rest seems live to me

There are no differences in sound, though... The only way you can tell they are miming that part is because they put up their mic a bit late. Sound-wise, it's the same as the first verse which I believe is mimed too. Like the entire performance... Not that I mind, huh! I'm used to it by now, I gotta say... :/

Someone should maybe make a new thread or bump the streaming one and give out the different websites that count and guidelines for people who aren't familiar with streaming as I can see it costing them a few chart places.

I'm Irish so will me streaming the single make any difference?

Sadly, I don't think so! :/ Which is why it bothers me as I would love to help too from here, but I can't! :/

I was thinking of doing a thread you know.

Doing it now :)
