Gary Barlow has revealed that he is writing music for new film Kingsman: The Secret Service.

In an interview with Spitfire Audio, the Take That frontman discussed his previous involvement with movie music composition on Stardust and X-Men: First Class, adding that he is working on songs for Matthew Vaughn's upcoming spy thriller.

He said: "My involvement in film work has been brief so far. For Stardust and X-Men we watched the movie and went away and wrote a song. We've just done it again last week for a new movie called Kingsman: The Secret Service. It's the best way of writing something specifically for a movie.

Although Love Love is not in the same league as Rule The World, both tracks are excellent and i would hope this will result in the same and we attain another Take That classic, a lead single and the movie to help as a promotion tool could result in a strong comeback hit.

I'd prefer it to be the 2nd single ideally as the 1st single will get enough promo anyways without having to be on a film.

WWWY was the track for the musketeers too if I recall...

For those that have heard it, what do you think of Get Ready For It? How does it compare to RTW, Love Love, and WWWY?

A little perspective might be needed. Here's the official website for the film: http://www.kingsmanmovie.com It has some information about the film, as well as a trailer. It's due out in February.

I quite like it, personally. It's not as good as RTW, but nothing they've ever done beats that (just my opinion, of course). I loved Love Love but WWWY didn't do as much for me. It was a fine song, but I think they had better album tracks. I'd say GRFI is a grower and I like it the more I hear it. I'd go as far as to say I like it as much as I like Love Love. It seems to match the film it'll be associated with well enough too.

Get ready for it is a decent enough song but not as strong as "these days" or "rule the world". It will hopefully help the album to keep selling though.

No reason why it can't do something similar to the single from the hunger games or ed sheeran's song for the hobbit.

It's a good song. I think it's a good choice for a single but I was expecting a Mark led single. Not sure if we will get that this time round?

Did Gary write the song himself or were the others involved too?

Not as good as Rule the World, but I think this could be another number one single, or at least top three.

Get Ready for It is good and I hope it can do well for them but I cant see it been huge, would love to be proved wrong on that though. If it does manage to be a big hit it would boost album sales.

If it is true that Colin Firth is featured in the video, I think it could get some good publicity. Just imagine Colin Firth and the three Take Thatters all dressed in tuxedos, dancing and firing guns. It would be tabloid fodder.

A good video with Colin would be great and could do nothing but increase the chancesof having a sizeable hit.

I can't see it being a bit hit, not even a moderate one, although I would love to be proved wrong. It's nowhere near the quality of Rule the World in my opinion and I would be surprised if it has wide appeal. I think it's a song that sounds better live but as for being radio friendly I'm not so sure. The video for this could be pivotal for sales. If Colin Firth is involved it may generate interest which could boost sales. However, it's more likely clips from the film are interspersed throughout the video as Stardust was in the Rule the World video.

If it can make the top 40 I would be delighted, I hope it can at the least manage top 75. When Gary released face to face I was sure it would have been an easy top 40 hit and look how that turned out so I am sceptical, outside lad singles their singles don't seem to do that well. I hope this can buck that trend.

I listened to the live version last night - it really isn't a great song on its own. The film looks like its going to be a massive success though - so that (with a good video featuring Colin Firth) should ensure its at least a top 30 hit.

I don't get the love for the song though - even from the Die-Hards - admittedly I've only listened to it the once - but its pretty forgettable at best.

There in my opinion is far better second single material ahead of it on the album but with the film outit makes sense to go with this.
