Posted September 7, 200618 yr Single Re-release & Promotion In August 2006 it was announced by The Pussycat Dolls’s German management that the single, Sway, would be seen as the fifth single in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The commercial single release is to come late September early October. It however has not been confirmed if The Dolls will later release the current European single, I Don’t Need A Man. In 2006 the music video was retouched, deleting out the scenes from the movie for single release in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Since the release of The Dolls' debut single Don't Cha, Sway started to gain popularity among fans and curious listeners. Since at the time, Don’t Cha, was the only other studio recorded song currently available by The Dolls’, fans turned to Sway as an alternative. The music video eventually reached the number one spot on Yahoo Launch video program. The single definitely proved that The Dolls’ or Nicole, actually had vocal and dance talent.

On October 12, 2004, the single was released on the original motion picture soundtrack via Casablanca Records. A domestic commercial single of the song was never available for purchase. The single was later quietly re-released on the US iTunes store for digital download on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2006 as a digital downloadable single.
