And you have all now voted out the Saturdays best song. Issues was the 3rd single released from debut album Chasing Lights and it reached a peak of 4- a Saturday's record peak at the time. Issues had to be re-recorded for radio's because the world slap could be misheard as stab so it had to be changed to leave. It received mixed reviews from critics and Issues gained a silver certification. The song also reached 3 in Scotland.

This week was always planned to be a double elimination right from when the thread was posted so the second victim this week is My Heart Takes Over. There was less promotion for this single as Una was pregnant and they were preparing for the All Fired Up tour. They performed the song on children in need, loose woman and daybreak. It was the 3rd and final single from On Your Radar and it peaked at 8 in Scotland and 15 in the UK- it was the first Saturdays song not to sell over 100k in the UK. Also I believe this was The Saturdays song that they were going to perform on the X-Factor but it didn't happen

 

So there you have it, 2 more out and 10 to go

A song where the lyrics are ambiguous and ridiculously unclear does not deserve such recognition. How such a song was even considered for a debut album, let alone single, is beyond the comprehension of Moluna, who probably wanted it for a b-side ;)

I think the problem for me was that when it was released it was SO overplayed! If Work and What Are You Waiting For go out, I am not fussed anymore on a winner :lol:

I don't even think Issues is as bad as people make it out to be. It's not their best and it's not their worst and it got them a placing in the Top 5 which is a lot higher than most of their singles have charted so we should applaud that at least. :heehee:

 

also it made Chasing Lights re-peak at no.9 so I'm grateful for issues tbh. :coffee:
