Don't know if everyone knows about this or not, but thankfully it remained unreleased! Absolutely terrible! And it has the dreaded haters reference :puke2:

My housemate gave me a lift into uni and she had a remix of WAYWF on her playlist, such a strange moment to think people outside the fanbase know of it's existence

Yeah it leaked a few months ago along with the demos/early recordings of most of Chasing Lights albumtracks.

It isn't really good, but I can't help but feel like it fits their tones really well, probably a lot more than their recent sound.

Aw i hadn't heard it before! I thought it completely didn't fit their sound at all, too childish and teen-brat sounding.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, the lyrics are really cringey/childish and the melody itself isn't even really good, that's for sure, but the retro production fits their tones really well I thought.

I remember buying that picturecard on the Tangled Up tour! Along with my I <3 The Saturdays badge.

Ooo I remember that! Someone on PopJustice had bought a "Polydor Girl Band" labelled promo CD from a carboot sale thinking they'd find Girls Aloud material - they only found many a Sats demos. It also had the original Why Me, Why Now which sounded a bit like Stand By Me production wise.

Regarding the lyrics, they were pretty young during recording right? I guess we can include Golden Rules as part of the songs initially recorded with that direction in mind.

They are both shit, though. :kink:

'Golden Rules' is such an atrocity. It makes 'Missing You' sounds like a Grammy Award worthy song.

But Missing You is Grammy-worthy...

And I'm actually pretty fond of Golden Rules! One of their Top 5 b-sides for me.

omg that unreleased demo makes the living for the weekend album tracks look good HAHAHAHHAHA howling thank god that didn't taint the masterpiece that is Chasing Lights

plus justice for Golden Rules, cheesy af but it makes for a nice b-side and is quite catchy
