Saw this film on holiday. It does view a bit like a TV movie but the famous scene is still very shocking.

Thing is I fell asleep right at the end of it. I was up to the court case summations but I don't know the verdict or anything that happens after that?

Has anyone seen it and can tell me how it ends?

Oh, GAWD, it's been ages since I saw this film. They get found guilty, not of rape itself, but of commissioning a rape.

You're right though, it's still pretty powerful stuff. Have you ever seen a French film called "Irreversible"? The rape scene in that is truly unbelievably shocking... :o

I thought that would happen. It would be the happy ending as it were. Thanks for letting me know.

I've heard of Irreversible but never seen it. From the reviews I've read, The Accused was the first Hollywood film to dramatise rape like that.

Irreversible (and Sleepers, Monster, Boys Don't Cry etc.) took it one step further.

Monster & Boys Don't Cry are works of art. Classics.

the end (that is actually the beginning???) really gets to you, up there with Lilya 4-ever for giving you that emotional jolt.

This film is brilliant. Jodie Foster is such a fantastic actress
