I thought the last album for beyond was ok but nothing amazing. However if I were a boy is one of my favourite songs ever, I adore it so much :wub:

Glad Ellie is so high, I thought burn was average for the first few months but I am completely in love with it now and pretty much her whole discography

19 and 21 are both classics

And Kelly is so amazing, especially because of you and since u been gone

Beyonce is way too low in the top 10 ! I really wish I voted now :(

05| Lady Gaga - 747 points (01-06-04-05)

 

Falling a place this year is Lady Gaga, the winner of the first ever Ultimate Female competition! Lady Gaga's most recent album release was 'ARTPOP' at the end of last year and went straight to #1 in both the UK and the US. However so far, the album has failed to match the success of her previous two albums. The album produced two UK top 10 singles: 'Applause' and 'Do What U Want' featuring R. Kelly. Lady Gaga is currently preparing to release her collaborative album with Tony Bennett titled 'Cheek to Cheek', due for release next month.

 

06| Kylie Minogue - 717 points (07-10-06-06)

 

Matching her peak of #6 that was achieved in 2012 is Kylie Minogue. Kylie's most recent album release was 'Kiss Me Once' earlier this year - her first studio album since 2010's Aphrodite and it peaked at #2 in the UK. The album's lead single was 'Into The Blue' which reached the UK top 15. Also earlier this year Kylie became a coach on series three of The Voice UK and earlier this month Kylie performed at the Closing Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games alongside fellow Australian popstar Jessica Mauboy.

It's weird that people like Gags and Kylie can stay so high in these things when their BuzzFanbase appears to have evaporated. Madonna being top 4 is strange too.

ARTPOP was a bit lacking compared to The Fame and The Fame Monster but Lady Gaga is still one of my faves. Kylie has her high moments (the X era onwards, Impossible Princess) but also some horrors, but overall I do really like her.

03| Katy Perry - 830 points (12-04-05-03)

 

Reaching a new peak of #3 this year is Katy Perry. After the incredibly successful 'Teenage Dream' album and it's many singles, at the end of last year Katy released 'Prism' and was very successful worldwide similarly to the lead single 'Roar'. While the follow-up singles, aside from 'Dark Horse', haven't quite matched the success of the 'Teenage Dream' singles, Katy has achieved 4 more UK top 40 singles from the album so far with latest single 'This Is How We Do' looking to make it a fifth in the coming weeks.

 

04| Madonna - 818 points (11-09-08-04)

 

Climbing to a new peak position for the fourth consecutive year is Madonna. She released 'MDNA' in March 2012 and has since gone on to sell more than 2 million copies worldwide. The lead single 'Give Me All Your Luvin' featured M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj and was largely successful worldwide despite only just peaking inside the top 40 in the UK. Follow-up singles 'Girl Gone Wild', 'Masterpiece' and 'Turn Up The Radio' were less successful but all charted in the UK top 200.

01| Britney Spears - 891 points (08-05-03-01)

 

After constantly improving every year, Britney Spears finally reaches the top spot and is your Ultimate Pop Female 2014! Since the 2012 chart, Britney released her eighth studio album towards the end of last year titled 'Britney Jean' and was preceded by lead single 'Work Bitch'. The album wasn't as successful as Britney's previous albums but still went top 5 in the US and top 40 in the UK during the busy Christmas period. 'Work Bitch' fared much better in the UK by reaching the top 10 and just missed out on a top 10 peak in the US. Follow-up single 'Perfume' failed to chart in the UK but had some success in other countries. Despite this, Britney Spears is one of the biggest popstars of all-time and fully deserves the achievement of being the Ultimate Pop Female of 2014. Well done Britney!

 

02| Rihanna - 859 points (03-01-01-02)

 

Falling from the top spot after two years at the top is Rihanna, but still stays firmly in the top 3 for the fourth year in a row. This may have been due to Rihanna not releasing an album last year which was the first year we hadn't had a new Rihanna album for quite a number of years. Her most recent album was 2012's 'Unapologetic' which produced 2 massively successful ballads in 'Diamonds' and 'Stay' featuring Mikky Ekko. The album went to #1 in both the UK and the US and has sold more than 3 million copies worldwide since it's release. Rihanna's next album is scheduled for release in the next few months so maybe next year she will be back at the top?

Omg :o Never thought Britney would win of these and honestly not quite sure how she managed it but HURRAH.

I won't begrudge old Britney a win this time, I'm still of the unpopular opinion that Britney Jean is by FAR her best album to date.

YES Britney! I do like Rihanna but I'm in the minority that isn't really a fan of most songs she's done in the past few years. She has loads of gems from the first few albums though :wub: Britney is consistently amazing with her singles though, she has some duds but most are fabulous :D

Both brilliant artists, Rihanna's hugely consistent, everything since GGGB has been amazing pretty much! Her two best singles come from A Girl Like Me though funnily enough.... And whilst Britney Jean is a bit patchy, Britney is pretty much flawless too, I was shocked when I saw she was the winner but glad, she does deserve it. What an icon!

Incredible winner in Britney, as she has some absolutely classic pop gems in her discography, and she's kept it consistent as I really enjoyed 'Britney Jean' as well. Yay!
