UPDATE:

It has been announced Trijntje Oosterhuis will be representing The Netherlands with a song written/produced by nobody less than 2013 entry Anouk!

Their previous work together

Hehe, better to make a new thread for a new year.

Anyway, re-posting what I said instead of repeating it:

Apparently Alain Clark is going to represent us next year in Austria. Again, we're sending a well known singer in the Netherlands.

I would post a few of his best known and loved songs but I barely know anything by him and what I do know is crap.

edit: actually this song is half decent:

Not sure poppy jazz is the way to go at Eurovision though!

on the plus side I was also negative about Ilse and Waylon until I heard their entry, which was by far and away the best song of both of their careers.

Mess, Trijntje Oosterhuis is going with a song written by Anouk

That's our chances of reaching the final... SHe literally has no good songs as far as I know

I don't mind her, this song was a top five hit in my chart:

WAIT TRIJNTJE SANG SOMEBODY ELSE'S LOVER!?

Anyway, after listening through the song Anouk and Trijntje did together before, I am a little less anxious about it, altho she's 41 like...

EDIT: It'd have been better had they send the group Trijntje is in, Ladies of Soul

Isn't Anouk around 40 too though? I think it could be a good choice, I'm not writing off The Netherlands until I've heard the song and seen the staging, after the last two years.

Difference is that she doesn't look 39, I'd say she's around 30 if you'd ask me

I always start by writing us off tho, so maybe it's just me being super negative, but I'm throwing my hope behind Belgium at the moment :kink:

Tim, let me lecture about the one of the best vocalist of your country

First of of all she slayed in Total Touch:

(You should know this one)!

I'll say give it a spin, you'll recognise most of them!

Her best studio vocals in my opinion is heard in Forgive, won't forget

But she didn't disappoint as a early solo artist as well

My favourite, What About Us!

en
are dutch classic, but I really don't expect you like those.

She then did disappoint, Until Anouk said she needs stop making Grandma music so Anouk produced her most recent album Wrecks We Adore(2012) and that went to 1# I believe.

My personal favourites from that album:

Knocked Out, the one you introduced her with.

(I entered this on BJSC and flopped)

Nothing At All

Check the album on

I like you Tim, but bye !

I wish we'd send Joan Franka again with her new single:

I think it would have done really well.

Unveiled next Thursday on radio 2 and I assume it'll go on sale Friday!
Ooh that's surprisingly quick - I was expecting a few months wait like we had with Anouk and The Common Linnets.

I'm assuming it is so she can perform it on the final of The Voice of Holland, in which she is a coach.

The final is in 2 weeks time

It's got a catchy hook, but it's incredibly repetitive. It feels like the same line repeated for three minutes.

Still, a pretty strong song overall.

If she can sing the shit out of it live then I can see it doing very well. I really like it! :o

Hmmm... not sure  but I thought that about the two previous songs as well

So were good :cheer:

Really liking this, much more instant than 'Birds' and 'Calm After The Storm' due to that incredibly catchy chorus. Excellent entry! :cheer:
