Una's got two shows coming up in Ireland: Una's Dream Ticket is back for a second series at Christmas, and then she's a coach on The Voice in the new year.

Una is, as usual, taking care of the whole promotion of the group there. Sometimes it seems like The Saturdays is a solo act in Ireland.

Argh, nervous for Frankie this week! Really want her to do well. She's due a week at the top of the leaderboard. Hope she can make this Waltz work despite the shit song.

I feel like they are giving her higher scores because she's always good and she's getting further (therefore she's "supposed" to get better) in the competition but her new dances aren't better than the previous ones. But then I don't believe she's the only one!

 

Again, song choices are incredibly poor and everyone's getting better songs for all the styles of dance they get. It's so annoying.

 

The V-Waltz is a lot more of a subtle and technical dance (No lifts allowed!) - it's usually seen as far more difficult - that's why the introduce it later into the series. It isn't meant to be a wow, sparkle dance like Jake's , I think they fact that her techique - particularly the delicate hands were so perfected - difficult to do whilst remembering all the foot work - and I think that's why her scores were so high.

 

I actually preferred Caroline's dance this week - shame she stacked it.

I'm not complaining about the song choice.. That song will go down very will with Strictlys older audience who will have lapped the whole thing up.

She was fantastic again this week.. Almost perfect technically so it doesn't matter that it wasn't 'flashy'.

I thought Jake's dance was super cringe...

I agree that Jake was slightly more fun and entertaining, however his technique paled in comparison to Frankie's. His lines were never fully extended and rather abrupt as were some of the move transitions - plus the samba rolls halfway through completely killed the momentum he and Janette had going as the pace was slowed x1000! Frankie's dance was beautiful, eloquent and executed perfectly; it just lacked the "WOW" factor.

 

Jake didn't quite deserve his tens, Frankie did. :wub:

How anyone can say her Viennese waltz wasn't WOW I do not know. It was gorgeous!! The song choice was perfect. Jake deserved his high scores too.

 

Surely it's going to be Sunetra and Steve bottom 2. The other 6 are just miles better.

I think next week will be a shock bottom two judging by tonights spoilers!

There is a Waltz-A-Thon coming up in Strictly in either of the next two episodes. Frankie has an advantage as she's done two Walz's and has has been top of the leaderboard for both of them. Kevin went out first on the swing-a-thon last year though.

the Jive doesn't have lifts and are illegal if added however Steve and Ola had lifts in their Jive on Saturday just gone.
