1. Ego - I just think the whole thing is perfect. I feel Ego was the moment when the Sats got everything right. The song was well produced, decently promoted, and had a shamazing video. Why they didn't release as the lead single from Wordshaker is beyond me (Slays Forever is Over so bad - though i do love FIO)

2. What Am I Gonna Do - I just love how old school it sounds. Ticks all the boxes. Plus their b-sides are almost always brill, and this one is defo my fav of the bs. :cheer:

3. Chasing Lights - It's such a beautifully, emotion driven song, and i think we can/have/will all relate to the lyrics at some point in our lives. It was also the song that made become a mega fan of the sats. I loved all the singles so bought the album on the off chance it would be good. Obvs it was incredsies, and this song just made me have that 'wow' moment. Plus when they do acoustic versions of it I can't even deal. I die so bad.

4. All Fired Up - If for nothing else then my queen making the party super naughty. I just don't think club pop comes any better than AFU. Plus I was 17 and very gay when it was released, so this was my anthem! (Laughing a little at the "was 17 and very gay" makes it sound like my gayness has altered over the past 3 years )

5. Disco Love - It sums up everything the Sats are about. Cheesy pop which is perfection. For me this one will go down as one of their best. But I love cheese so...

I sort of agree with you on the Wordshaker point. Forever is Over is EASILY my favourite of theirs by a long shot, but it was such a mess up releasing the album on the back of it. Should have released FIO slightly earlier, had Ego end of October/start of November and then release Wordshaker of the back of Ego. But that's just how I see it, awaiting flames and scrutiny
But if it ensured a slightly more successful second era I don't think it'd be a problem!

...with probably the release of a 3rd and/or fourth single, then Headlines could have been released as a completely full 3rd album.
