Surely nobody can dislike the legendary Icelandic post-rock gods?

 

I put their '( )' album on any time I'm wound up and the stress just goes. Their new album is a bit more rousing... they're just genius.

 

I think, though, my favourite thing from them is probably the 'Ba Ba Ti Ki Di Do' EP... it makes my spine go all funny.

This is a recent discovery for me... I fell in love with ( ), so I was waiting for Takk and it just blew my mind when it finally came out...

Beautiful, beautiful music.

It took Takk to get me on board - dreamlike.

I'd rate Agaetis Byrjun higher than () so make sure you get that! Will be seeing them at least once this summer (for the first time) so looking forward to that a lot :)

 

Great band - but takes too much thinking for the average music listener I've found... even some of my friends who I'd say like decent music find Sigur Ros too tedios (for lack of a better word). ah well.. their loss!
