Kathaldazia returns with a bouncy new BJSC entry “Buzzkill.” The track sees Take Van’s ethereal vocals wrap around an extremely fun and bouncy beat that leads to a satisfying breakdown, making you want to dance around for hours.

Carried by an insistent, elastic synth line, ‘In My Mind’ starts somewhere near the lurching, strobe-lit melodicism of Overmono and ends up up as a deep breath of gratitude, resting beneath harmonious, cloud-soft pads, melancholic piano and spry handclaps. It’s yet another example of Amour’s exploratory, loving dedication to all shades of UK dance music as well as the gracious warmth that suffuses his productions.

For our 50th anniversary we've gone for Buzzjack spam sensorship icon DJ Seinfeld. It's a stunning, low key, contemplative live mix. Rather than go with an obvious big hitter or Kathaldazia fave like Overmono or Bicep, we wanted to go with something special but fresh that would be more appreciated in an anniversary context.

Keeping up the dreamy, low key vibe of our last entry, we've gone for this therapeutic escapist piece of atmospheric D&B/art pop. It progresses to a fab guitar and drum breakdown at the end. The visualizer captures the mood perfectly 💞

Snow Strippers are a duo from Detroit that have been compared to Crystal Castles and Confidence Man. Under Your Spell is ravey, kick drum heavy banger with an infectious hook and cool switch-up near the end. The duo have had a spike in popularity recently thanks to a set at SXSW and Under Your Spell being included on Fantano's tracks of the week.

I actually briefly confirmed this very track for this contest whilst I was being all indecisive. I am going to live to regret swapping it :drama:

We went back to our ravey roots for BJSC 155 with an entry aptly titled 'host' by witch house, hard wave artist yerbby. The song encapsulates numerous well known dance samples into 1 dreamy dance party. Most prominently are deadmau5's Sofi Needs a Ladder in the hook and Show Me Love (yes I went there :kink:) in the bridge.

This sample smuggling none of the samples popped up with a Google search, not that it would be vetoed anyway but still, the sneak x

 

(Banger tho x and has reminded me of 'Sofi Needs A Ladder' being a banger too, forgot about that sang)
