With the album so high in the US and the UK I think they may just support it.

I initially wrote this song off as nice but not something I want to keep listening to or want from Marina, but after I gave it another listen yesterday I've since become obsessed! :wub:

 

I know in some ways where you're coming from, although I did really like it on the first listen it's one of those special things that reveals itself more with further listens and weaves its spell into your brain.

Not at all what I was expecting! She's really GOING for the retro look this era and I'm loving it, so glad they incorporated the dance routine in the end. SO fierce and those facial expressions - I have no words! But like fellow diamond Cremey states I'm very annoyed that they cut so much of the song out because it's a video, not a single. It sounds kind of choppy too but I think it's because were used to the full cut

It's as if Electra Heart has massively broadened her fanbase during the run-up to this, the song hasn't even been supported on radio and no promo yet it's doing as well as it is, especially the US is surprising - I don't think any of her singles got that high on US iTunes

 

Really hope that isn't the radio edit though, the pre-choruses are the of the song's biggest selling features - they really should just cut off an entire chorus and pre-chorus instead

I'm just annoyed at the news that most of the songs' sales won't be eligible to chart. Therefore, she should have released it separately. :(

Tbh I don't think even the majority of the chart fans on here understand what's going on with this new instant grat rule, and if even we don't know what's going on - you wouldn't really expect Marina's label to either. The fact she's made it available on a Tuesday gives me the impression its job is really to sell the album, a nice chart peak for the single is more of an added bonus

 

Then again it's still early days, Radio 1 should still get on board and hopefully its streaming starts building up as a result
