September 16, 200618 yr What A Feeling! Songs & dances from famous musicals and films and Noel Sullivan (Hearsay) and Sinita were in it. She's in Cinderella in Ashton Under Lynne at Christmas.
September 18, 200618 yr Thanks. It's nice to hear that Noel has been busy again. I believe he had a really tough time after Hear'say split.
September 18, 200618 yr Thanks. It's nice to hear that Noel has been busy again. I believe he had a really tough time after Hear'say split. I'm going to be really vague here (not unusual for me!! ) but they have been advertising a programme about holiday reps - I think it is another reality-type programme (don't know which channel) and Noel is starring in this! :D I wonder if this means that he will try a solo career afterwards!? Julie
September 18, 200618 yr I suppose it depends if the show gets lots of publicity in the usual gossip mags. It's been on before and i don't think its ratings were great. I wish Noel well anyway. He earned his place in Hear'say and it was the girls' alleged antics and the debacle about replacing Kym that dragged the group down I think. IMHO poor Noel was just caught in the crossfire.
September 18, 200618 yr Yes Noel is one of the performers in the holiday rep programmewhich is on channel 5 at 11 p. tonite. He is featured in daily star yesterday, it says he is already reaping the rwards. Soon after completing filming he got an offer to appear in Las vegas.I know what I was thinking on hearing that.!!
September 18, 200618 yr I don't want anyone to be offended, but I didn't like Noel. I thought he was a clever dick, with a mediocre voice, and only made the band because they were looking for the look and personality he had(mummy's boy). I liked Danny's voice, but for me, the only one with any real talent to make the band was Kym, and she was not a star by any means. This is only my opinion folks, so don't anyone be upset please :)
September 18, 200618 yr B.P. It's nice to see you back. I wouldn't take offence. Apart from appreciating Darius, I've been amazed at how varied the music tastes of his fans are. There are probably songs of Darius's and styles that he sings in that I rate highly but are bottom of your list.
September 19, 200618 yr Author have to say I dont like Noel either, uglyish chap with an undistinctive voice.. as for offers to appear in las vegas..well it just riles me that every tom dick and "not much talent" Harry(Noel in this case) seems to get this sort of hype..whereas Darius is genuinely worth a hundred of them all.
September 19, 200618 yr I think the hype goes with the reality show, no matter how poor quality it may be. I caught that Island thing recently a couple of times when I was flicking channels. What utter dross but the usual suspect celeb mags, couldn't get enough of it. Lots of girls in bikinis and guys stripped to the waist- easy copy. I guess holiday reps will feature quite a bit of that too and since it's being shown after the watershed, I'm guessing a bit of sex too.
September 19, 200618 yr quote from PIP - it just riles me that every tom dick and "not much talent" Harry(Noel in this case) seems to get this sort of hype..whereas Darius is genuinely worth a hundred of them all. It riles me as well, it sdeems to me that a black out is being operated especially when you think D writes his own music which Elton says is what it should be and the others dont.
September 19, 200618 yr Re Elton....Darius has been Elton's guest several times. It could actually be that he knows Darius is a singer/songwriter and doesn't automatically link him to reality TV so didn't refer to him when he was commenting about the X Factor and similar shows whose winners are often accused of doing covers. I don't suppose Elton was glued to Popstars or Pop Idol. All the hype in the media after the shows and before the PI final was centred on the winners and Gareth Gates. ]Darius melted straight into the background until Colourblind was released to radio at the beginning of June.
September 19, 200618 yr Author oh, and have to say - Elton..doesnt write his own lyrics..sorry Elt old chap, I prefer Darius :D
September 21, 200618 yr Turpin? He was a famous highwayman. Elton's lyricist is called Taupin. I haven't checked but I think his first name's Bernie. I don't know how they work. Wouldn't it be very tricky to do it that way? I remember Darius saying he wrote one of his songs as a poem ( Mercury Rising, Fragile? ) and then much later and quite separately came up with a melody and the two fitted together perfectly. But he sounded gobsmacked that it had happened that way.
September 21, 200618 yr No wonder we've gone OT; the alternative is so ridiciulous. Airline pilot, Presenter, soldier, jodphurs....... It's dress up time. Missed this one :arrr:
