I’ve always liked the fact that the button conversation is the opening dialogue in The Seinfeld Chronicles and is the closing dialogue in The Finale (not including the stand-up of course). Mundane conversations from start to finish :D

ISTFBls4f6A   Their chemistry is fabulous!

  • I know this isn’t related to UK ratings in 2021, but I was looking at US ratings the week Seinfeld aired its last episode. Great to see an almost exact figure for Seinfeld, usually it’s stated at 76.3

THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN! I want to play Kramer and slide through Jerry’s apartment door though B-)

Episode 1 “The Email”

Jerry is dating a publicist who accidentally reveals his email address to Kenny Bania through a group email. Now Bania fills Jerry’s inbox with a flurry of spam emails asking for feedback on his new stand-up set. Jerry decides to break up with the publicist over this, but he doesn’t want to deal with the interaction face-to-face. Kramer suggests ending the relationship via email and avoiding it all together. Jerry does this before Elaine reminds him that the publicist was supposed to get them all tickets to the opening night of the new movie “Rochelle, Rochelle 2”. George devises a plan to corrupt Jerry’s girlfriend’s computer before she can read her emails so that they can still collect the tickets. Kramer says he knows who can help. Someone with a sworn vendetta against email. Someone who has devoted their whole life to analogue mail and sees email as a threat to his livelihood. Someone named Newman.

The plot actually sounds great, very Seinfeld but with a modern twist! :o :D

Seinfeld Won’t Be Streaming Anywhere for a While, and That’s Good for Netflix

By Josef Adalian

It will not be the Summer of George.

As Vulture reported earlier today, Seinfeld — as long expected — is leaving Hulu this month. The legendary show about nothing will vanish from the Disney-owned streamer on June 23, nearly two years after Netflix paid handsomely to steal away global streaming rights. But in what will surely be sad news for stans of the series, Buffering has learned Seinfeld will not simply hop over to its new home the next day, or even the next week. In fact, industry insiders familiar with the situation tell us Jerry and Elaine and George and Kramer won’t land on Netflix until closer to the fall — September at the earliest — leaving Seinfeld digitally unhoused for a few months. So what’s the deal with the Seinfeld summertime interregnum?

Netflix isn’t talking just yet, so it’s hard to nail down the precise rationale for the delay. In theory, it’s possible the streamer’s deal with distributor Sony Pictures Television, announced in September 2019, doesn’t allow it to take possession of the series for a bit. What seems more likely, however, is that execs have purposely decided to put a bit of space between Seinfeld’s swan song on Hulu and its Netflix debut. If so, there are definite upsides to a pause.

The JFK movie parody with the magic bullet/magic loogie theory with Wayne Knight/Newman in both scenes is brilliant on every level

ER pulling in almost 48 million is incredible too! :o

5 Lamest Attempts To Follow-Up 'Seinfeld'

When Seinfeld started airing, there was nothing like it on TV -- no other sitcom had dared to talk about the real issues, like penile shrinkage, "no fap" contests, or the fact that Chinese restaurants sure seem to take their sweet time finding you a table sometimes. Of course, once this wildly original show became a hit, several other TV producers said, "Hey, let's be wildly original too by doing the same thing as those guys." Or they tried to, anyway. Hence sad and forgotten Seinfeld-lite shows like...

5. The Michael Richards Show (2000-2000) -- The Self-Hating "Kramer Spin-Off"

4. Cursed a.k.a. The Weber Show (2000-2001) -- A Show About A Magic Cursed Nothing

3. It's Like, You Know... (1999-2000) - Seinfeld In Another Coast, Basically

2. The Single Guy (1995-1997) - The Middle Point Between Seinfeld And Friends, Literally

1. SPECIAL MENTION: Dharma & Greg (1997-2002) -- The "Why Aren't You Watching Seinfeld?" Episode

I think Seinfeld ended at the right time, but they probably still could have done a decent tenth season and it still would have been the biggest show on TV. I would’ve loved to have seen more of David Puddy and Mr. Kruger
