#149: One More Day (Stay With Me) by Example

Year of release: 2014

Peak: #4

Example's comeback, as badly as it did in the charts it was his best run since Stay Awake. His chart runs are definitely not an example that I would want to follow.

#148: Ella Henderson - Billie Holiday

Year of release: 2014

Peak: N/A

The seventh song in the countdown from Chapter One. Also, I think she should release it as a single, to see how many people are fooled into believing it's a song by Billie Holiday (1915-1959).

Most people, using their common sense, would realise that Billie Holiday has been dead for over half a century and it's extremely unlikely an unreleased recording would surface now, but maybe some people could be fooled...

Well Stay Awake was #1 but fell very quickly :o

I miss his Playing In The Shadows/Won't Go Quietly era. Changed The Way You Kissed Me   :music:

People would think Billie Holiday is releasing a track titled 'Ella Henderson'?

Well, when Cover Drive released "Sparks" some people thought it was a new song by the band Sparks...

Though most people aren't stupid enough to think it's a Billie Holiday (but some may be)
Well, when Cover Drive released "Sparks" some people thought it was a new song by the band Sparks...

Well in that instance maybe since there's all sorts of sites and references putting the artist first and some put the artist last, just maybe, some will believe an artist has rose from the dead to prove them wrong  :drama:

#146: Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins

Year of release: 1986

Peak: #43

Next a song which three artists were approached for this track. Orginally Toto were intended to perform the song, but legal conflicts between the producers of Top Gun and the band's lawyers prevented this. Bryan Adams was approached, but, feeling the film glorified war, refused any involvement. REO Speedwagon was also approached, but refused because they couldn't contribute one of their own compositions to the soundtrack. The producers then chose Loggins to perform the song.

#144: If I Go by Ella Eyre

Year of release: 2014

Peak: #16

Ella Eyre's first solo top 20 hit, If I Go was #8 on the Wednesday but ended at #16 on the official chart. And she will be appearing again...

IABD is good, I forgot about that song.

If I Go has a good chorus but I think the verses are a bit 'slow'

Good to see her 'come back' to the chart :P
