#139: Black Heart by StooShe

Year of release: 2012

Peak: #3

StooShe's second single, it spent 8 weeks in the top 10 and 16 weeks in the top 40. It was also nominated for Best Single at the 2013 BRIT Awards. And just to say, no, Standing In The Dark and When She Was Mine are not about any three of them (first, this is their only appearance, secondly, none of them are blonde).

#140: Standing In The Dark - Lawson

Lawson's third single, this, like When She Was Mine (which also appears) is about a certain member of a girl group who haven't appeared yet but will do 9 times.

I remember this track :)

Trying to use the lyrics I remember to figure out who you are referring to :P

#136: Need You Tonight by INXS

Year of release: 1987

Peak: #2

INXS's highest charting single in the UK. The lead singer, Michael Hutchence, committed suicide on 22 November 1997 in Room 524 at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Double Bay, Sydney. The band decided to continue without him, however they failed to find a replacement and in 2005 they took their search for a lead singer to Rock Star: INXS; a reality TV show which aired on CBS. Canadian singer J.D. Fortune won and became the lead singer of INXS, and the band subsequently released the albums Switch (November 2005) and Original Sin (October 2010). The band split in 2012, after 35 years together.

#135: I Don't Want To Change You by Damien Rice

Year of release: 2014

Peak: N/A

In 2002, Damien Rice released O, which remained in the charts for over a year. Then in 2006 he released 9, which received a mixed reaction but peaked higher than O.

Since then, two artists have been inspired by his album name system for the first two albums; those two artists have had much more success than Rice, both having million-sellers (Cannonball, Damien Rice's best-selling single, has a Silver certification by the BPI, which usually indicates sales of 200,000-400,000 copies) and both have number ones (whereas Damien Rice's highest peak for a single is Cannonball, which originally peaked at #12 but peaked at #9 in 2011 after a performance on The X Factor). One of them has named her two albums after her age when she released them, and her best-selling single, Someone Like You, spent five weeks at number one and is among the 40 best-selling singles of all-time. The other has named his two albums after operation signs, his best-selling single peaked at number three but sold a million copies, and he has had two number ones this year, the latter of which I am absolutely sick and tired of (clue: the song broke Celine Dion's "Think Twice" record). Anyway, Damien Rice's third album is named My Favourite Faded Fantasy (so maybe Adele's next album won't be named whatever her age will be when it comes out and Ed Sheeran's next album might not be called - or divide). The album peaked at 7, higher than O, and was better received than 9.

#132: Make U Bounce by DJ Fresh vs. TC featuring Little Nikki

Oh, Earthquake was awful! (And Dibby Dibby Sound was onlymarginally better). So when I heard about this, I was expecting it to be bad. But, after the two aforementioned misfires, DJ Fresh has seemingly gotten back on form. I'm excited for his Ella Eyre collaboration.

Make U Bounce :music:

I've heard there's some critisism on the weird sound effects used and the lyric "I just want to make the whole world bounce" but I don't care, I love it! (2013 reference :P)

No Enemiesz is good and underrated but I somehow got a bit bored of it not long after :nocheer:
