Sam Smith opens up this section with his biggest hit to date in my chart. I'm Not the Only One has worn a little thin on me now but I still enjoy it. MKTO are just ahead with God Only Knows, a BJSC DNQ earlier this year. Should definitely have Q'd, my favourite track of theirs! Lily Allen is at #188 with L8 CMMR, a song initially for a soundtrack but found itself on Sheezus too, a great track even if the lyrics are a tad basic - "my man is a bad motherf***er" lol. Foxes' best song is at #187 followed by Charlene Soraia's first song to chart and not peak at #5 :lol: The Vamps follow with an album track before Avicii's only song in the countdown - I thought this did a lot better in my weekly chart but evidently not! :o Chlöe Howl is next followed by a BJSC potential of mine from Awa, although the song was scrapped in favour of Madeline Juno (still to come). Finally, Cheryl is at #181 with the title track of her most recent album. This MUST be the next single, growing on me by the day!

Avicii's #impact in this chart! :D great to see even if #184 is far too low.

Hey Brother was actually a top 10 hit in my chart but as I've said several times before, overplay kinda killed it for me and it's not top 250. :( I'm sure I'll appreciate it again soon anyway. I can't believe how much I underrated Addicted To You at the time though :o My 2nd fave of his behind I Could Be the One!

Some really great songs in this past section, Only Human is fantastic, I'll be sad if she announces anything else as the next single.

Caged was a nice little tune from Charlene, I loved her cover of Wherever You Will Go but then she disappeared for a while, glad she got R1 support with it too so maybe that means she could get another hit in the future if she releases something good.

Holding Onto Heaven is fantastic, definitely Foxes' best single for me and will be appearing in my EOY top 100 for sure. She is quite a good artist actually so I hope she comes back with another good album, I don't want her to be a flash-in-the-pan artist :(

INTOO is really stunning, it made me love Stay With Me too, it's encouraged me to listen to his album which I thought I'd hate but it's really excellent, glad he's so successful at the moment because he really deserves it.

The album tracks keep coming in this section (they start dying out as we enter the top 100, I promise) with Alyssa Reid, One Direction and Ed Sheeran offering some great tracks. Shawn Mendes' debut single makes it to #179 despite an unimpressive weekly chart run. Justin Bieber makes his first appearance of three and he brings the SWAG with Confident. The swag is kept up with R. Kelly in #177 with Lady Gaga, which kinda had its chart run split between 2013 and 2014 hence the lower appearance here. Lily Allen's instant grat, the outspoken Sheezus, is at #176, a very different track but quite fun anyway. Emmelie de Forest made the top 10 for the first time with Rainmaker, and lands at #175 here. Finally, an Ella Eyre b-side rounds us off at #171. Bullet For You is one of my favourite b-sides of recent times (tbf there aren't many in existence), having featured on the Comeback EP. Comeback is still to come ~

'Afire Love' :heart:

 

Truly stunning song. One of the best on the album for me. I hope it's made a single, partly because I'm curious to see what obscure adjectives Ethan will select to lambaste it in weekly Chart Show threads :o

Afire Love really should be the next single but I don't think it will be sadly, he didn't perform it on tour. :( It's beautiful though, without a doubt my non-single highlight of x!

'Rainmaker' :wub: Actually prefer that to her winning song from last year. :kink:

Album track central pretty much ends in this section (there are some still to come but it's less concentrated), with Iggy, Cheryl, Hunter and 1D album tracks here :lol: Beyoncé is the first single to appear, although the actual single version of ***Flawless wouldn't even be top 1000, it's awful (sorry April). The featured artist on the single remix is at #164 with her own song Pills N Potions. Nicki appears two more times in the countdown, both a fair way higher than this. Adam will be overjoyed as another Eurovision song appears, this time from Ukraine, a fantastic pop track which is underrated IMO! Taylor Swift's new single Black Space is at #163, it has since risen to a peak of #7 and will no doubt reappear next year. Two top 15 hits finish off the section with Isac Elliot's recent single and Anastacia's comeback track, the pretty great Stupid Little Things.

Blank space unsurprisingly becoming one of my favourite songs this year after that amazing video :wub: Could chase 1 million sales and a lot of weeks at #1 (but also due to no competition until Christmas week) in my charts

Blank Space really is excellent, think it has overtaken Mine as her best single now for me. Hope it continues to grow in the UK into a top 5 hit. I'd like to see the next single smash too, hopefully Bad Blood/OOTW/Wildest Dreams.

 

Great to see Nicki in this batch too, really excited for her new album if it's similar to her first album. PNP was a welcome comeback and quite a mature comeback, I do love Anaconda more though :lol:

 

Tick-Tock was my favourite Eurovision song this year, a great little pop song and I loved the hamster wheel staging, glad you're a fan too.

 

Finally, yay at ***Flawless, the remix is growing on me again and I'm loving it again at the moment. It was always my album highlight so I'm glad it (kind of) got a push.
