Posted September 12, 200618 yr Yes my dears you heard right, after their #40 smash-hit and #100 something album the girls that are Frank are no more: Monday, September 11, 2006 Now Look Here my Lovelies... Current mood: optimistic Category: Music This blog is addressed to all the amazing people who have put their love and support into the band Frank. I am about to blast you all with some shocking news and i am sorry to have to do this but i figured the record company are gonna be pretty sluggish about letting you all know and i'd rather speak to you all personally because it has been your support and your commitment that has made this whole venture worthwhile. (Breathe!) The news is this- as most of you will know the single charted at number 40-for us that was amazing, i'll never forget hering it on the radio one chart show. Unfortunately the record company didn't believe it to be good enough-ie un profitable and as you may well have guessed from my tone-they decided to let us go...yes...we have been dropped. Who knows why these things happen. i can tell you that all us girls are deeply gutted but not in despair. we have left Polydor with an amazing experience and so many wonderful memories. We just cannot believe it's all over! Thankyou so much to everyone who has believed in us and sent us messeges and been there at the gigs and watched the show! Without that support we couldn't of even come this far. Thankyou. Thankyou! Keep an eye out for us girls tho cos were not gonna just disapear-Frank maybe over buts that not to say we are. I can speak for all of us when i say that we will all still be persuing our individual careers as actresses or musicians and it will take alot more than this to stop us in our tracks. The war is not over! Peace to you all xxx Bryony xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Bryony's blog says it all. A moment for Frank please :(
September 12, 200618 yr gosh, that is so sad :( They could have been successfull they just weren't given the chance! the single was not promoted enough and nobody was gonna buy the album on the strength of thr single they hadn't even heard. Shocking! They should have been given a second single
September 12, 200618 yr Polydor never even bothered to promote :( I don't even remember seeing or hearing anything. I only found out the album was out a week after it was released. At least I saw them on tour with GA
September 12, 200618 yr who? I'll echo that... Are they that c**p girlie band from that sh!tty Channel 4 prog "Totally Frank". They are UTTER BOLLOCKS!!!! They make Hepburn look like L7!!!!
September 12, 200618 yr I'll echo that... Are they that c**p girlie band from that sh!tty Channel 4 prog "Totally Frank". They are UTTER BOLLOCKS!!!! They make Hepburn look like L7!!!! I echo that. They made Girls Aloud seem like the GoGos & the Sugababes seem like the Slits, etc. They did not stand a chance because they appeared in one of the most dire excuses at a Monkees-style TV show in living history. That is why they got little or no promotion, as their record company was probably totally embarrassed. They would have stood more of a chance not appearing in a TV show & being a totally unknown act.
September 12, 200618 yr It's a real shame, their album was good but in this day and age, it's difficult for a new "pure pop" act to breakthrough properly. I'm not surprised by this after the single and album's performance and I kinda expected it, but they deserved better.

I think I watched about half an episode of it until I just got so bloody irritated by these annoying, talentless bints I just had to switch off or else stick my boot through the bloody screen!! <_< Cant believe that Channel 4 commissioned such rubbish....

September 14, 200618 yr It's sad, but hardly surprising. The label made SUCH a mess of their careers, they have a TV show and decide NOT to use it to plug them and wait till the series finished before releasing anything! Not to mention such a limp debut single! At least we got the great album :)
September 14, 200618 yr the tanking of their track was so hard and no one watched their show, how can they expect to still be around when they lose their record company a ton of money
September 14, 200618 yr The first sing was a JOKE release and the tv series was REALLY bad. I do think the lead singer.. i cannot remember her name coulde be VERY big.. they didn't promote them or anything..hopefully the lead singer will get another chance.
September 14, 200618 yr the tanking of their track was so hard and no one watched their show, how can they expect to still be around when they lose their record company a ton of money It was one of (if not the) the highest rated shows on T4  I hope one of them goes solo and releases Never Left A Girl
October 26, 200618 yr I hope one of them goes solo and releases Never Left A Girl  I got hold of that song the other day (apparently it was meant to be their second single) and it was actually quite good so I don't see why they didn't think about at least releasing that one first :( I've never seen a group being dropped after one single either
