I thought you hated Itchy?!

I loved Igloo until around September. Beg For It and Reclassified have put me off her.

Thanks Jade. Drunk In Love is probably her best ever for me now too. Such a good album - thanks for commenting!

The final chart of 2014 has been counted towards the YTD totals, and the end of year data has now been compiled and verified.

200. Lady Gaga - ARTPOP
[13 chart points | 36-33-xx]

199. Bastille - Of The Night
[14 chart points | 32-36-xx]

198. Ben Haenow - Something I Need
[14 chart points | 31-37-xx]

197. Bastille - Pompeii
[16 chart points | 25-xx]

196. Sam Smith - Lay Me Down
[17 chart points | 34-31-xx]

Unsurprisingly one or two week wonders crashing out in the first set of songs. Notably there are two Bastille tracks (the only two which appear on this countdown). Also, the first of a few Lady Gaga and Sam Smith entries - both being two very good album tracks with singles still to come. Meanwhile, after two weeks in the chart Ben Haenow just sneaks into the countdown.

200. Lady Gaga - ARTPOP Really like this

199. Bastille - Of The Night

198. Ben Haenow - Something I Need I didn't think I liked this that much but it sounded really good yesterday :o

197. Bastille - Pompeii One of my favourite songs of 2013, I adore this

Great start April

195. Kanye West - Bound 2
[18 chart points | 36-37-35-38-xx]

194. Kaiser Chiefs - Coming Home
[20 chart points | 32-31-40-xx]

193. The Saturdays feat. Sean Paul - What About Us
[23 chart points | 30-29-xx]

192. Jermain Jackman - And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going
[26 chart points | 27-29-xx]

191. Coldplay - Magic
[26 chart points | 40-29-32-37-xx]

"Bound 2" and "What About Us" are two remnants from 2013 - with the latter being last year's #1 single of the year. Meanwhile, last year "Bound 2" held the Year End position of #145 - so smaller drop for that. Kaiser Chiefs first ever chart entry, "Coming Home" places fairly well considering its peak. Jermain Jackman, this year's winner of The Voice, has an underwhelming start to his chart career, however, better than the previous two winners who failed to even chart. Finally, Coldplay's lead single from 'Ghost Stories' makes up their only entry in the Top 200 Songs of the year. "Magic" was slightly surprising for me, whilst it was no way as strong as their previous material, there was still something oddly appealing about it.

Gaga SLEIGHING at #200. When will other faves? :o

'Bound 2' is crazy good too yay. Will be keeping an eye on this (now i know it properly exists and is happening :kink:) expecting Bey and Nicki to dominate - just no trolling like you did in the Gaga top 20 countdown please :)

Third consecutive year in my end of year chart - matching Mariah and The Pogues.

190. OneRepublic - I Lived
[29 chart points | 26-27-xx]

189. Calvin Harris - Faith
[30 chart points | 26-26-xx]

188. Avicii - Hey Brother
[30 chart points | 27-33-37-37-xx]

187. Seinabo Sey - Pistols at Dawn
[30 chart points | 34-26-36-40-39-xx]

186. Raleigh Ritchie - Bloodsport
[31 chart points | 33-30-33-39-39-xx]

Very alternative section of the chart compared to my usual tastes - OneRepublic latest single manages a top 200 after just two weeks in the chart. Also appearing is one of the better album tracks from Calvin Harris' new album 'Motion', "Hey Brother" which is a remnant from late 2013, as well as a couple of new artists. I only recently discovered Seinabo Sey and "Pistols at Dawn" is an amazing track by her, and "Bloodsport" by Raleigh Ritchie is very underrated too.

185. Katy B - 5 AM
[32 chart points | 21-32-38-xx]

184. Michael Buble - It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas
[32 chart points | 40-24-27-xx]

183. Zedd feat. Hayley Williams - Stay The Night
[33 chart points | 17-34-39-xx]

182. Sia - Fair Game
[34 chart points | 36-27-27-40-xx]

181. Pixie Lott - Lay Me Down
[34 chart points | 36-33-28-34-40-xx]

Pixie Lott wins the battle of the "Lay Me Down"s with her song finishing 15 places higher than Sam Smith's "Lay Me Down". Michael Buble becomes the first Christmas song to appear in the end of year chart, and therefore will be plenty more to come. Also, underrated gems from Katy B and Sia off their latest albums in this section. "5 AM" might've had a longer chart run, had my chart been running earlier than February. Another casualty of this is "Stay The Night" which would've been bigger on my chart in January, and it becomes the first top 20 peaking song in the countdown.

180. Nicole Scherzinger - Run
[35 chart points |39-21-31-38-xx]

179. Nicki Minaj feat. Soulja Boy - Yasss Bitch
[41 chart points | 10-31-xx]

178. Fences feat. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Arrows
[42 chart points | 23-24-36-39-xx]

177. Lily Allen - Sheezus
[42 chart points | 22-20-39-xx]

176. Sam Smith - Leave Your Lover
[44 chart points | 33-21-25-xx]

Lee Wallace rejoices as his two floppy faves finish next to each other, with Nicole coming out on top as the lesser flop - but only by 1 chart point. "Run" isn't too bad, just very boring and there's not quite enough of a chorus and melody for it to have been a bigger hit.

"Yasss Bitch" was a buzz single released just before "Pills N Potions" and after the initial release week hype, I realised it was shit, hence it only spent two weeks in the chart.

"Sheezus" is actually one of my favourite Lily Allen songs from this era, but it's one of the worst performing on my chart. It's just one of those songs which grows and scraps by over a long time, rather than instant and then grows old. Just pipping Lily Allen is her cousin Sam Smith, "Leave Your Lover" is a beautiful ballad and I'm surprised it's yet to become a single!

175. Justin Timberlake - Not a Bad Thing
[44 chart points | 36-27-30-30-39-xx]

174. Beyonce feat. Mr Vegas - Standing on the Sun
[44 chart points | 29-23-27-xx]

173. Calvin Harris feat. Gwen Stefani - Together
[52 chart points | 21-20-32-39-xx]

172. OneRepublic - If I Lose Myself
[54 chart points | 16-22-33-39-xx]

171. DJ Snake & Lil Jon - Turn Down For What
[54 chart points | 23-20-29-38-xx]

The last single from Justin Timberlake's fourth album starts this section - it's not bad but nothing too amazing. There were far stronger single choices which he could've picked, but this is nice enough. "Standing on the Sun" is definitely a highlight from the 'BEYONCE' era and hopefully will be pushed as a single at some point! It's such a fun and feel good song. Same goes for "Together" tbh.
