Wait a minute, on the OCC they claim that Changing is the ninth best-selling dance number one of 2014 and Blame is the tenth, yet Blame is higher here than Changing? What is this nonsense?

OCC probably didn't include streaming in that chart knowing them :)

I am glad Nobody To Love should be a lot higher, not a fan of this.
Great song to kick off the 40, and a better presenter to boot. Sounds so much better.

Are there any presenters word than Gemma Wotserface? Her endless wittering has at least allowed me to catch up a lot through her show. I'm now only half an hour behind.

Time for a breather!!

Thank you to everyone for your patience I'm having to type as the songs are playing as my laptop blew up last night (bit dramatic I know!)

Hope you're all enjoying the chart, bar Say something I think I've had a great set of tracks so far...

Hooray for 'A Sky Full Of Stars' scraping into the top 40 :D Delayed commenting as I had to restart my computer and it took about 20 minutes. Hmm.

Not so hooray for 'Say Something'. Back to hooray for 'Gecko (Overdrive)', after originally looking like being one of the year's least successful #1s. Also hooray for 'Riptide', shame it just missed the top 40 but #42 is not bad at all for a song that only just made the top 10.

Don't worry it's fine :) I also had mini computer troubles for my part (my computer crashed half a minute before I had to post the first song of the whole countdown so I had to press about a 1,000 buttons to get it to work as quickly as possible :))

Hey brother :puke2: :puke2: :puke2: :puke2: This song is beyond awful :puke2:

Its interesting that songs like only love can hurt like this and blame it on me which didn't make top 5 have sold a lot more than a lot of number ones this year.
Avicii twice in the EOY top 40  really hope his 2015 is successful too, though The Days being cancelled doesn't give much hope...

33. Avicii - Hey Brother

Chart Run:

All caught up! :D I always forget that 'Hey Brother' was big in 2014, I guess Avicii domination feels like it all belongs in 2013.

Who would have predicted 'Chandelier' to be this high in the EOY? One of the surprise successes of the year for sure.
never expected this to get half a year in the top 40 but YAY, one of the best pop songs of the year
Still can't stand Hey Brother. Very happy to Chandelier higher than it.
