I'm not sure if they necessarily decide before they add a song whether they're going to A-list or B-list it? Although even if that was the case, that shouldn't make a difference to when they playlist it.
Yeh we will just have to see. I agree they prob in some cases don't know where a song will end up as it it grows higher in the chart they will up the plays but I'm sure they look at certain artists as having A List status before they add it to the playlist. Eg at the moment Ed Sheeran is A List material whereas

Radio 1s Hottest Record 23/4/2015

The Chemical Brothers Sometimes I Feel so Deserted

Out Now

:cheer: :cheer:

TOTD for Fri 24th April - David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj & Afrojack 'Hey Mama'.

Sounds like another hit to me.

It will be a hit, but it's AWFUL.

I still don't get why Bebe Rexha isn't credited on this, as she sings the chorus!

tell me about it -_-

David Guetta has a habit of releasing his worst songs as singles anyway (see also 'Where Them Girls At', 'Little Bad Girl', 'Play Hard') so this is not surprising really.

Hottest Record in the World is the new Rudimental single - Never Let You Go

On first listen liking it!

The ToTD was:

Call It Off -Shamir

Edited by Red.

Thanks for the update ;)

Out tonight for Rudimental according to ML Hammer. Sounds pretty good not as amazing as Feel the Love but what is?!

I enjoy the Shamir track but it sounds a lot like the last single On the Regular

Ah, I meant premiered tonight  Its got a 14th June release date and it is sounding excellent! Top 5 minimum, considering the hype their return is gonna have.

Ack I wish I could add it to my playlist now :(

I could see it doing well on iTunes ESP if it was given TOTD status sometime this week.

Last few TOTDS:

Sat 25th April - Ella Eyre 'Together'

Sun 26th April - Lower Than Atlantis 'Words Don't Come So Easily'

Mon 27th April - Shamir 'Call It Off'

Tue 28th April - Lost Frequencies 'Are You With Me'

That Lost Frequencies song is another Avener/Firestone/Prayer In C/chilled European dance track, but it's pretty good.

I can't see Lost Frequencies doing much better than The Avener myself, they're comparable anyway as both have been #1 in various European countries and are chilled dance. Hoping for better of course.

Also, lol Altyr Muunilinst being cheap again (with Shamir being TOTD). :kink: should expect to make this comment again as Sam Feldt 'Show Me Love' should hopefully also be a future TOTD

Radio 1s Hottest Record in the World 28/4/2015

Julio Bashmore Holdin On

Roll on tomorrow evening for new Everything Everything!!

Lots of possible playlist entries today...

Sia - Big Girls Cry (surely? surely?)

Devlin feat Skepta - 50 Grand (not sure if they'll still support Devlin or not though?)

Jason Derulo - Want To Want Me

Kiesza - Sound Of A Woman [AKA Orange Remix]

Lawson - Roads (would really like them to support this but not sure they will)

Lost Frequencies - Are You With Me

Martin Garrix feat. Usher - Don't Look Down

Natalie La Rose feat. Jeremih - Somebody (shaping up to be a hit so I would have thought they'll jump on board)

Walk The Moon - Shut Up And Dance

Shamir - Call It Off (INMWT list)

Charles Hamilton feat. Rita Ora - New York Raining (possible early add)

David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj & Afrojack - Hey Mama (depending on what its impact date is)

Hopefully will make for an interesting playlist this afternoon.
