Sorry I was using cheap English.

My reference to commercial songs relates to half of BTD where there are more radio-friendly, more tailored towards pop radio and in most cases work as stand alone songs. The difference with UV is the production is riskier. There is less reliance on big hooks. Its just not a commercial record in that respect.

To find a common ground; when you say UV is "boring" or "nothing" without sufficient explanation - the easiest assumption to make is that it's viewed as such because of it being more production and rock-focused and cohesive, less pop-focused and catchy. The reasoning used in here is rather poor and ignorant hence the assumptions being made, how on earth is monotone and "exactly the same" a critique after the sound BTD had (??), when there are eg. songs like Shades of Cool/The Other Woman vs. Cruel World/Sad Girl - songs that sound nothing alike (bar the characteristic lyrical content). It indicates that you haven't tried thoroughly listening to the album. In all honesty, Lana's music overall is "exactly the same" and "monotone", and if anything UV shook off those tags she had received by the GP, as substantiated by professional critics of the album
I don't know anyone who preferred the butchered radio edit of West Coast. The original received almost unanimous praise. If the whole album had been that exciting sonically if would have been amazing. As it stands the production is dour, the melodies really are not that memorable and the lyrics are very weak throughout. Born to Die did all of those things better and was simply more exciting to listen to. And it's not a crime to be endeared to a song because it's catchy. West Coast was the catchiest on UV and also the best, probably not a coincidence.

The title track's lyrics have been included in a lyric book from her tour merchandise:

We both know that it's not fashionable to love me

But you don't go cause truly there's nobody for you but me

We could cruise to the blues

Wilshire Boulevard if we choose

Or whatever you want to do

We make the rules

Our honeymoon

Our honeymoon

Our honeymoon

Say you want me too

Say you want me too

Dark blue

Dark blue

We both know the history of violence that surrounds you

But I'm not scared, there's nothing to lose now that I've found you

We could cruise to the news

Pico blvd in you used little bullet car if we choose

Mr. Born to lose

Our honeymoon

Our honeymoon

Our honeymoon

Say you want me too

Say you want me too

Dark blue

Dark blue

There are violets in your eyes

There are guns that blaze around you

There are roses in between my thighs and fire that surrounds you

It's no wonder every man in town had neither fought nor found you

Everything you do is elusive to even your honey dew

Our honeymoon

Our honeymoon

Our honeymoon

Dreaming away your life

Dreaming away your life

Dreaming away your life

Meh.

When am I going to get another 'National Anthem' level of quality from her?

This is alright but it's something I'd be very happy to not see on the album. Less stimulating than Ultraviolence, even.
