My Flashback Track

 

My first ever flashback track is one of my favorite Foo Fighters tracks with 'Learn To Fly. It peaked at #21 in the UK and although it peaked low it will always remain one of my all time favourite Foo's track. I predict if my chart was around during that time it would have got #1 easily.

My Flashback Track

 

This week's Flashback Track is called So Good To Me by American DJ Chris Malanchak, Released in May 2013 the song reached #2 in the official chart. Earning Malinchak his first top 40 hit. His other songs didn't do quite as good as 2014's If U got it and Stanger peaked at #21 and #45 respectively in the UK. In my chart I would think top 3 would be where it would place in my chart.

My Flashback Track

 

Since Marina and the Diamonds is top of my album chart I thought it would be rude not to make the song that kick-started her career as my Flashback Track. The track is called 'Hollywood' and featured on her first studio album 'The Family Jewels'. The song peaked at number #12 in the UK and became a tune. She featured on the 2010 sound of poll and ultimatly finished in second. Marina and the Diamonds also was in the running to win the Brits Critic choice Award. Losing out to Ellie Goulding on both the Sound of poll and Brits Critics award (how awkward). Marina and the Diamonds (real name Marina Diamandis ) has made two other albums 2012's 'Electra Heart' and 2015's 'Froot', the latter topped my chart this week. This would have been a number one in my chart.

My Flashback Track

A proper one hit wonder this week. Its time for 3 of a kind with their one and only smash 'Babycakes'. It smashed and hit the top spot in August 2004 and kept The Libertines Can't stand me now at number two. The Garage Trio did not have another song after this song. My Flashback Track

 

Today's Flashback Track comes from a Band from Bristol called Massive Attack. In 1998 they released a song titled Teardrop. It was a hit in the UK peaking at #10 offically. It wasfrom their third studio album 'Mezzanine' which went #1 in the UK. This is another song I believe I would have chosen to be number one if my chart was around then.

My Flashback Track

Today's Flshback Track comes after another night of Plug.dj fun as a lot of Nicki Minaj tracks. I went with one of my all times favorites to put as my Flashback Track. The track is called Your Love and was taken from the rapper's debut album 'Pink Friday'/ The song was one of the song's that saw Nicki begin to appear as a star but it did not have much chart success as the track appeared at #71.
