Surely the contest is about finding the best song, not about finding the best message?

In total agreement. I remain sure it won't come anywhere near winning, especially if he gives another lifeless performance like on Tuesday but clearly some people seem to disagree.

 

And the best message should win really. If it's in combination with a great song, if it isn't, it won't win anyway. What we have here is a platform that the whole of Europe could be watching and a song with a good message winning would really hammer that message home. Like with Conchita winning last year. I would far prefer Polina winning to Mans for that reason, even if Russia would be a questionable host at this point.

 

And Mans has nowhere near the best song, it's only probably going to win because of its stage performance, which is far less important than even the message.

Belgium's stage performance seems to be marmite, along with Estonia (and Sweden although I've seen it before) it was the best presentation of all 33 semi-finalists for me.

The bookies are seemingly thinking Sweden has it in the bag, down to Evens now. Estonia are shortening quickly, back down to 14/1 from 33/1 yesterday. Belgium's hype train seems to be going backwards again now though.

Estonia in the top four would bag me around £20.

Serbia fourth favourite at 6/1! :o
