France 2 will be responsible of selecting the 2015 French Eurovision act and song for Vienna.Last week France 2 had confirmed to ESCToday.com France’s participation at the forthcoming 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. France 2 will air the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest live on 23 May at 20:45 CET. France Televisions will be also airing both the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 semi-finals live on 19 and 21 May on France Ô. The Eurovision Song Contest will return to France 2, the channel which was in charge of the Eurovision Song Contest in the 1980′s and 1990′s. The poor results afflicting France in the competiton in the last 3 years could have led the French national broadcaster to make this decision. It seems like the French broadcaster would like to promote the Eurovision Song Contest and improve France’s image and results at the Eurovision Song Contest with this new approach. Although interestingly this is the first time in a few years where France will be airing both Semi Finals. With that and the moving to the bigger channel, is this the year that their fortunes begin to take a turn for the better?
January 17, 201510 yr I have a fondness for the French entries so excited to see who will be representing them. That run of 'Je n'ai que mon âme', 'Il faut de temps' and 'Monts et merveilles' is glorious

January 17, 201510 yr France 2 - the PRESTIGE. It would be great if they could secure a huge artist. Zazie would be fab, thanks. Airing the semis on France Ô is bizarre though. It's the station that airs all of the local programs from the overseas regions (like Guadeloupe and Mayotte) but maybe I'm missing something obvious. That whole run from 98 to 05 is glorious! Does this include "Chacun pense à soi" because I honestly thought I was the only fan of it?!
January 19, 201510 yr Does this include "Chacun pense à soi" because I honestly thought I was the only fan of it?! Chacun pense à soi is FUCKING FAB!
January 19, 201510 yr Third end. Let's be honest France are possibility the most underrated country in modern Eurovision :( *tumbleweed*
January 19, 201510 yr A Chaque Pas was a TUNE too. Je n'ai que mon âme will forever remain incredible. I noticed Divine was the only Eurovision entry in the '1001 songs you must hear before you die' book too, such a shame that it didn't do FAR better.
January 23, 201510 yr Can't post more details at the moment as on my phone but French entry with snippet has been announced! http://www.eurovision.tv/page/news?id=lisa...th_noubliez_pas
January 23, 201510 yr Today French public broadcaster France 2 announced that Lisa Angell has been internally selected to represent the country in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. She will sing the French-language ballad N'oubliez pas. N'oubliez pas was written by Robert Goldman, brother of Jean Jacques Goldman. The song was first perfomed on a concert in November during the commemoration period of the First World War, while the singer emphasizes that the song refers not only to this very special event in history but to any kind of conflict. Je me souviens du rire des enfants, la voix des hommes quand ils partaient au champs, les fêtes des moissons, l'odeur dans les maisons, les éclats d'amour et de joie. Mais je suis là, n'oubliez pas. This part of the lyrics translates as: "I remember the smiles of the kids, the voice of the men when they went out in the fields, the Thanksgiving celebrations, the scent in the houses, the love and laughter. But I am here, do not forget." You can listen to a small excerpt of N'oubliez pas on Soundcloud. Who is Lisa Angell Lisa Angell got famous after accompanying magician Dani Lary in his touring comedy show Le Chateau des Secrets, and later on the televised Le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde, where she attracted the attention of popular entertainer Patrick Sébastien, who asked her to appear on his televised talent show, Les Annees Bonheur. Lisa Angell released three albums. Her debut album Les Divines was released in 2011. What do you think of the French choice? It's a old school French entry! :w00t:
January 23, 201510 yr Removed by user! :drama: gctKM1Iu79w Wonderful but I think it'll do naff all in Vienna sadly.
January 23, 201510 yr Author Dreary beyond belief, essentially a 6/10 retread of all the French eurovision ballads in the past. Might be a decent venture betting on France to come last two years running.
January 23, 201510 yr Was never a fan of her because her stuff always sounded incredibly dated, but this is nice. Last place, unfortunately.
January 23, 201510 yr It's very nice! Not incredible but it's very reminiscent of the early 2000s French female ballads and while it won't do very well in 2015 like it would've done 15 years ago, it's another solid entry. This year could be extremely good if some of the national final contenders we've heard get chosen as we've already got a few good to great songs - with a few due a revamp anyway. Imagine a contest with Elina & Stig, Satin Circus, Karin, Bogi or Boggie, Eric or Mans, Sunstroke Project - so much potential this year!
