I don't think Mel wanted to come back, she is currently doing America's Got Talent and Australia's The Voice Kids (I think that started earlier last year so it didn't clash, not sure) is due back and she's on that (I think that may be airing in August or September or so after the main series is done, and that'd deffo clash with X Factor) Idk how she juggled it all last year!!

 

 

I like Rita, I certainly don't get the random hate for her.... She was brilliant on The Voice, I'd go as far as saying she's one of the very bes coaches I've seen on there between our version and the US/Aus ones (along with Delta Goodrem, Ricky Martin and Shakira). Uninspired choice but yeah I'm happy enough. I'd rather have Mel but I've come to terms with her not being back.

I love Rita but I'd much rather Mel over her :( Although if Mel chose not to come back then fair enough of course.

The judging panel is arguably the worst that it's been and Rita Ora has totally contradicted what her previous beliefs were regarding The Voice & X Factor.

Actually the line-up for the X Factor judges looks pretty good with Rita in the judges line-up, I don't mind Grimmy.

not particularly excited about Rita joining but at least they've got someone who's relevant to today's music scene to replace Mel B (I did like her as a judge but she was obviously only going to last one season).

 

Rita/Cheryl/Simon seems like a good line-up, who'll be the fourth judge then? Hopefully not Demi Lovato, I'd prefer a fully British lineup, plus I imagine they'll get another man to give it a 50:50 gender split.

I can't not see Demi doing it after that pic she posted of (I'm assuming) a contract signing!

If Demi works it, I'll be SO :/ - I can't stand her singing voice, talking voice, false relationship with Simon (which is just as nauseating as Cheryl's, if not worse), just no on every level.

 

Three females wouldn't work either, it's not females that are hardly often hugely popular personalities, so surely a bigger male personality would be better to balance it as usual.

Demi would be amazing but it's 99% not her, a few days after that contract signing Instagram she announced she'd started a new record label with Nick Jonas so I assume it was for that. Plus she already has tour dates in October!

It'd be nice to have someone who's actually interested in music as apposed to themselves.

The arena auditions start July 6th so we'll definitely have a confirmed panel before then :D

 

I'm gonna guess Cheryl, Simon, Rita and Nick Grimshaw. I don't actually hate the latter but not keen on the idea of him as a judge, hmm... We'll see.

I think Nick Grimshaw would work better as the Xtra factor presenter than a judge, considering his career is a radio presenter I imagine that job would suit him better.

According to reveal / heat / express / inside / the sun Rochelle Humes is the leading contender to be Xtra Factor host with other potentials being Brian Downling and Melvin Odoom.

Oh GOD NO! At any of those. Rochelle is so wooden. Brian Dowling is Brian Dowling (horrific) and I have no idea who Melvin Odoom is (so perhaps he's the better choice?)

I agree with everything Jonjo said, although I do know Melvin and he's annoying as f***.

I don't really watch Xtra Factor anyway but Brian would worse than Caroline.... Not really a fan of Rochelle or Melvin but they'd be ok together I guess.
