Whitney prepares to go back into the studio

Source: unknown

Before there was Mariah or Mary J Blige, Whitney Houston was the music world's uncontested number one soul diva. And recently the Grammy-winning singer revealed plans to get back in the recording studio.

At a music industry shindig this week Whitney seemed to be glowing with anticipation over what will be her first album in three years.

Chic in a sexy satin top and black trousers, the songstress looked in good shape for a comeback. Six songs have been lined up for her to record and music bosses are confident the material will go down a treat with fans despite her recent well-publicised troubles.

Whitney was accompanied by Clive Davis, the legendary producer who has masterminded her career since the early days. He was quick to reassure fans the new disc will stay true to her famous style rather than focus on a flashy reinvention. "Whitney is Whitney and there's nobody like her," he proclaimed. "It'll be Whitney, not somebody reaching for a current trend, that's for sure."

I hope to god she doesn't try and be all 'hip' like her last erm 'comeback' in 2002.

It may suit Mariah but not Whitney that's for sure - a mix of uptempo RNB hits like 'My Love Is Your Love' mixed with some classic Whitney ballads hould make the album sell well anyway.

The last paragraph says that won't be the case.

I'm glad

wow, despite her public perception she has done some good music, and has such a good voice. not only is it good, it has character. She has a good singing style that is really unique amongst "diva's". I look forward to see what she comes up with!
Cannot wait to hear her new stuff, hope she's got herself cleared up now and sorted

She looks like she is off the drugs in recent pics and she has dumped the husband.. she amy be back :D

shes gonna have to do alot of hard work to make this comeback successful

I think so too. Good luck to her, I just hope she doesn't release more chav music. :puke2:

I'm really excited about this ... Whitney is amazing, and I can't wait for new material!

although this does imply she would neva touch the new age stuff...which she did with the last album...(i liked the first track she released from it though...that was a good track...what was it called again)?

Omg I can't wait ! Lets hope she gets some of that voice back

It was called Whatchaulookinat and I liked it too. ^_^ In the same kinda vain as My Prerogative and Rumours. Her last album on the whole was awful though.

I have always loved Whitney from being a child so I really hope she can make it back, but I don't hold much hope, a bit like Janet Jackson. Some really good tracks but has already passed her peak and will never have that kinda popularity again unfortunately. -_-

The whole drugs escapade screwed it up for her.

I dunno - I want it to happen but we shall see. ^_^

I forgot all about her 2002 single and album until recently.
