May 3, 201510 yr Author I thought we had one more season before the series caught up :o Nope, after this season the show and the books are on level pegging (and in some storylines, I believe already ahead).
May 3, 201510 yr Nope, after this season the show and the books are on level pegging (and in some storylines, I believe already ahead). Except Lady Stoneheart :o I seriously hope they won't be omitting her from the TV show.
May 4, 201510 yr I thought we had one more season before the series caught up :o Because of the difference in the structure between the two and the fact that there's only 6 episode left in S5 you may have a point. However, some characters are pratically there already whilst others have a bit to go. It must also be said that the story of the show seems to be forging it's own path in many ways now so some will never tie up with the books.
May 11, 201510 yr How good have the last two episodes been? *.* and just as I was worried this season would be a bit of a slow burner compared to the last. I think Ramsay might be the most evil character in the whole show, and that is quite an achievement.
May 11, 201510 yr They have been great indeed. I really loved the scene between Stannis and his daughter, such great positivity. And things are really moving into place there up in the North. I can feel the White Walkers breathing on the necks of the watchmen *.* Winterfell is a hotbed of intrigue though, I agree that Ramsay is completely evil but he's so watchable I almost want to root for him. Ending the latest one on Tyrion seeming to drown might have been more effective, I could tell that the reveal was going to be that Jorah had caught the grayscale. Wonder where they're going with that though, Dany can't lose both Barristan AND Jorah off her 'team' in such quick succession can she?
May 11, 201510 yr Author I did begin to wonder why they had spent so much time building up greyscale in the few episodes before - it seemed like routine character development, but I guess now there's a bigger purpose to it! Looks like Jorah will be given a long death sentence, oops. Surely he's gotta be infecting some people? Can't see any other reason, especially if he's going to try to keep it a secret.
May 18, 201510 yr WOW THAT WILL DO GOT! Utterly fantastic episode, not least because for the first time this season I began to be really scared for characters I really like - particularly the Tyrells at THAT scene, here's hoping that Olenna has some more acerbic wit and salient points up her sleeve that can get her family out of this although that looks like quite a long shot now. Cersei is getting more evil/cunning by the episode and given her levels in season 3-4 I didn't even think it was possible to get any worse. Glad Arya's storyline is moving along, didn't want too much more of her not being noone although it's pointing towards her possibly changing faces which I can't imagine they'd do permanently and lose Maisie? At least I hope I'm right there. Sansa's storyline is going really horrifying, but it's compelling watching, I feel like I'm just waiting for Theon to snap out of it, either way, Ramsey can't be living for much longer. At least I'd guess. Tyrion's exchange with the slavers had me crying. 'The dwarf lives until we find a cock merchant', I think that's one of their best ever.

Usually, you'd expect some sort of resolution for a character, but this is GOT, and they are just as brutal as they want to be. It's mostly annoying because the siblings are genuinely my favourite characters at the moment. The attractive blonde whore has betrayed me.

It's mostly annoying because the siblings are genuinely my favourite characters at the moment. The attractive blonde whore has betrayed me. The one thing I can think of is that Olenna's going to out Cersei as incestuous to the religious fanatics, it'd be the obvious way for her to play it, but Cersei will probably be able to spin it as desperate lies. The Tyrell army must be 'around' somewhere, but Cersei's been quite cunning to send Mace away during this so he can't use any of his authority as the head of the house to really bring military threats into this. She's been planning this for a while and it REALLY doesn't look good. :(
May 19, 201510 yr Tyrion's exchange with the slavers had me crying. 'The dwarf lives until we find a cock merchant', I think that's one of their best ever. There were some fab one liners in this one: 'And the famous tart, Queen Cersei' - *.*, great to see her back. That last scene was tough to watch, but really compelling at the same time, you can never underestimate how far GOT will go! I'd suspect this is all building to a change in Sansa's character and turning her colder before she can exact her revenge on her husband, it seems inevitable, I mean Sansa from S1 wouldn't harm a fly, I'm pretty sure this would've changed her (might be wrong as I don't know what happens in the books but even so). Regarding Cersei, her incest can't stay a secret forever, I'm sure one of the Tyrells will find that out soon! Edited May 19, 201510 yr by Chez Wombat
May 25, 201510 yr Oh. My. Goodness. The ending of the latest episode, setting it up VERY nicely for the final episodes. So funny to see Cersei reveal in Margerey's misery only for her to end up locked up herself. Tyrion and Danaeyres actually meeting up as well! :o Ramsay really is brutal/mad.
May 25, 201510 yr I have to admit, I grinned hugely as the pieces fell into place for Cersei, hoisted by her own petard indeed. The High Sparrow is really becoming an impressive part of this season, enjoying his presence immensely. Sansa providing some positive reinforcement for Theon is nice to see, even if Ramsey just continues to get worse. And it is a relief to see things progressing in Dany's storyline now Tyrion's come into it, should make for some very good final run over there. Also it's nice to see heavy snow down in Winterfell, really reinforces the notion that winter is very close to actually coming finally! Rather in love with short hair Sand Snake now after that scene, was pretty gripping and I thought Bronn might have been out of it for a brief second. Finally, I am happy for Sam & Gilly and wish them every piece of luck surrounded by Night's Watch rapists and murderers on the verge of turning turncoat.
May 25, 201510 yr Gah, too much to keep up with, but OMG Tyrion & Danaerys in the same scene together *.* Was not expecting that to happen so quickly (indeed I wasn't expecting them to meet up for AGES yet). Additional *.* for the ending, that smirk being wiped off Cersei's face was priceless. Same can't be said for Ramsay alas, but was nice to see Sansa's starting to see his weaknesses, maybe even Theon will snap out of it soon. :( for Aemon and Sam as well, he's really quite vulnerable without John there, hope things turn out well for him, somehow.
May 26, 201510 yr I have a strong feeling Cersei will bounce back from this rather quickly. I'm still worried for The Tyrells.
May 26, 201510 yr I LOVE the direction the series is taking and the couple of my friends that have quit the show can sod off really.
June 1, 201510 yr JESUS F CHRIST. One of the best episodes of the whole series and one of the best battles I've ever seen. The books can enitely f*** off now and let the showwriters keep doing their magic. Edited June 1, 201510 yr by ♡ Heezus Froot ♡
June 1, 201510 yr Those last 15 minutes were incredible. Looking forward to seeing this series' episode 9 shocker.
June 1, 201510 yr Looking forward to seeing this series' episode 9 shocker. There's a shocker? It's the first time I read about it. I wonder if it is Jaime or Tyrion dying, or Bran/Ricon coming back.
June 1, 201510 yr JESUS F CHRIST. One of the best episodes of the whole series and one of the best battles I've ever seen. The books can enitely f*** off now and let the showwriters keep doing their magic. That ending is in the books but not through any major character POV. And I think April is expecting the traditional episode 9 moment rather than any fore-knowledge but I may be wrong. There's a few things that may happen which would qualify. I'm personally not expecting a let up in the wow factor for eps 9 or 10 Edited June 1, 201510 yr by Severin
