In retrospect I don’t know why that got them their first #1 but K-pop groups have gotten first wins that were more random than that, so here that goes. IZ*ONE fall to #2 and “Chlorine” manages to catch up fairly quickly. It’s insanely catchy for the type of song it is. • Ally Brooke enters the top 10 with her Havana clone • Spaces below the top 20 see huge shifts due to a lot of songs moving downward. We see Lauv and Billie launch up and share greatest gainer honors. • “All Day All Night” gives Madison her third charting song and Martin Solveig finally charts after a couple near misses. There were a ton of songs that I was into but didn’t feel right to debut them yet, so I just rolled with it. It ended up growing on me though.

Nonetheless it’s at its 15th week, so pretty good longevity. • Everything near the lower end of the chart is pretty close, “Bad Guy” gets greatest gainer but “Play It Cool” also moves up 10+ spots. Monsta X is a pretty prominent K-pop band but they’ve been charting better with their English singles. • Shawn’s latest isn’t as huge of a debut as the last two #1’s but it still makes it on the chart. • I randomly got obsessed with “Power Is Power” (partly bc I was on the hunt for more Weeknd music after “Lost In The Fire” burned on me quickly) so that charts.
