The new single from Swedish DJ and producer Alesso has received its first play on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show.

Cool features vocals from Roy English, and samples Kylie Minogue’s superb Aphrodite cut Get Out Of My Way, which reached #12 on the UK singles chart in 2010.

The club track will be sent to digital retailers in most places on 16 February, with a UK release following a couple of months later on 26 April.

When I heard this on Radio 1Dance Anthems earlier I was sure I heard that starting before!. Good sample and great song!

The sample works great, but the synth breakdown after the chorus is disgusting.

It's not as bad as in 'Heroes', that synth is truly awful.

Great song, much better than Heroes. Love the sample, glad it'll be getting attention again!

I always thought the Kylie track sounded massive, so #12 was incredibly underwhelming.

I've found a Cool instrumental / Get Outta My Way a cappella so here's a mash-up :cheer:

Trying to get me to like his song by splashing the Get Outta My Way opening chords all over it- THAT'S JUST CHEATING

Too damn good though  Blows 'Heroes' out of the water completely

'Cool Outta My Way' FTW

Hopefully this can give Alesso another sizable hit~

This is really working for me. Yes there are some generic parts, but the chorus is so melodic and emotive.

Much preferring this to 'Heroes' now, which i felt got quite old quite quickly for me, rather quickly.(despite queen Tove Love being involved)

Hopefully it's onset for a top 10 and some longevity despite little airplay.

yeah this is a lot better than 'Heroes'. And I loved that.

this is now a serious song of the year contender for me, 3 weeks at my personal chart #1 and probably another one or two. So so good

really glad it's smashed its way into the iTunes top 5, I was doubting it with its failure to majorly pick up on pre-orders so I'm glad it's doing well.
