22. Janine pushes Barry off a cliff

 

 

One of EE's greatest villains killing one of EE's greatest ever prats. Barry Evans was loveable, but boy was he stupid! Janine finally revealed her intentions behind marrying him and chose a cliff of all places to have a conversation. After Barry tried to hug Janine, she pushed him off her. Unfortunately, Barry was next to the edge and he fell off the cliff as Janine looked on shocked. She later left Barry to die rather than call for help, and covered up her actions to mask it as suicide. Pat was disgusted that Janine got away with his killing him and framed her for Laura's death (which was completely an accident by Laura tripping over a toy) and it took Frank to persuade Pat to change her statement.

Pat was always trying to foil Janine - like when she marrying that man etc.

 

Now THAT is the most iconek EE moment of ALL TIME.

I dont get the Sonia hate? she'a a true Eastenders legend, and a pretty great actress.

I still have no idea how barry died from that.

Pushing Barry off the cliff is definitely one of the most famous Eastenders moments and it's one of my earliest memories of it! :lol:

That moment just proves how evil Janine really is. She sat and watched him die - even if the push was an accident, that's so evil!

21. The Aftermath of Billie's death

 

 

This may not be one of the most remembered moments in EE history, but it should be! The death and its aftermath were so well written and beautifully acted by Lindsey Coulson, and it really highlighted an important issue to the viewers. The grief which Carol felt was so raw and her actions when left alone with Billie in particular were a highlight. Also, her later breakdown and accusing Lauren of killing Billie were great dramatic moments.

27. The Slaters vs The Truemans

 

 

After months of tension between the two families over Zoe being in a relationship with Anthony Trueman and Kat deeply disapproves of this since they had previously been in a relationship. The tensions came to a head in one of the biggest ever punchups that EE has ever seen. Even Peggy Mitchell uttered her iconic line "Get out of my pub" to truly cement this scene as one of EE's most iconic moments.

Janine pushing Barry off the cliff is my all-time favourite Eastenders moment. She's my #1 character and that whole episode/scene was legendary.

OMG that Janine/Barry moment HAUNTED me back in the day </3 Janine really did have a heart of stone, the best (and the most effective) villain I've seen on EE easily.
