February 23, 201510 yr Author YES AT GLORY WINNING :cheer: Such a beautiful and great track  Even happier it beat everything is overrated :)
February 23, 201510 yr Author Grand Budapest hotel wins best original score :( Really championed the fabulous score of interstellar to win this category
February 23, 201510 yr Author Birdman wins best original screenplay Starting to get really worried about boyhood's best picture chance
February 23, 201510 yr Author Imitation game wins adapted screenplay I would have preferred a whiplash win but I am glad the imitation game managed to win something
February 23, 201510 yr Author I thought Inarritu's directing was great but I was really hoping Linklater would win :(
February 23, 201510 yr Interstellar should have won best score. Plumping for Keaton for actor and Boyhood for pic. Obv Julianne for actress.
February 23, 201510 yr Author Eddie Redmayne wins best actor for the theory of everything In all honesty I actually preferred his Les Miserables performance but I am happy he won even though I preferred Keaton and Cumberbatch
February 23, 201510 yr Author Juliane Moore wins for Still Alice :( This was inevitable but I really wanted Reese to win
February 23, 201510 yr Author I am so gutted boyhood only won one award, it deserved so much more Birdman was my 2nd favourite though So birdman wins best picture, Budapest and whiplash win loads and boyhood disappoints
February 23, 201510 yr Author Thanks so much to everyone who was here tonight (well pretty much just me and Johnkm) and goodnight :)
February 23, 201510 yr Really shocked Boyhood missed both director and picture, was sure it would win one at least
February 23, 201510 yr Disappointed that Birdman won picture *and* director, as much as I liked it. Not surprised about it getting best picture where it seemingly became the frontrunner but I just really wish that Boyhood would've won for director. What makes up for it are the wins for Big Hero 6 (:cheer: !!), Glory and Patricia (as predictable as her win was, at least Boyhood got something in one of the major categories).
February 23, 201510 yr Couldn't fathom out how Richard Linklater didn't get the directing Oscar until I looked at who was distributing - a company I'd never heard of...meanwhile Birdman is distributed by Fox...therefore the votes went that way. Not shy in being a celebration of the major players, the Oscars, which is why it's ridiculous that the ceremony is still considered the big one.
February 23, 201510 yr Gutted 'Birdman' won best picture. Apart from 'American Sniper' its was by far my least favourite :( 'Boyhood', 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' and 'Selma' should have done far better.
