Bassist Andy Fraser of 70s rock band Free has died ages 62.

He had been battling Aids & Cancer for some time.

Free we massive between 1970 & 1973 and their biggest hit All Right Now was a hit 3 times on the UK Chart. #2 in 1970 - #15 in 1973 and #11 in 1978 as part of an EP.

They also had another 3 hit singles before they disbanded:

My Brother Jake - #4 in 1971

A Little Bit Of Love - #13 in 1972

Wishing Well - #7 in 1973

All Right Now was a hit in 1991 again - I think it was used in an ad - possibly Levis or Budweiser.

 

It's overall sales must be decent enough

He was 17 when he co wrote all right now and also wrote the fab every kinda people for Robert palmer. The shocking realisation is he was only 5 years older than me because he had success so young.
