To celebrate the show being on air for 5 years, 'The Big Birthday Battle' will commence on May 10th straight after Series 12 comes to an end. All of the current cast will return as well as Dan, James, Jay, Kyle, Ricci and Sophie.

 

So, what will happen on Geordie Shore: Big Birthday Battle?

 

Well, the old and new housemates will go head-to-head to compete in throwing the biggest Geordie parties ever. The teams will be divided in a Gaz vs. Charlotte showdown, and pretty much everyone will be trying to out mortal each other!

Is that everyone apart from Vicky and Greg?

No Rebecca either but nobody remembers her anyway tbh, really excited to see everyone back together, looks like it'll make for some great trash TV.

We're all very much aware of Charlotte's recent announcement of her exit from the show, but now Aaron has done the same.

 

The next series is already filming in Spain so he'll likely be making an appearance during it.

It's been five years since Geordie Shore first hit our screens, becoming one of the highest-ever rated reality TV shows.

 

So to celebrate 12 series, two spin-off shows and 19 cast members, we're bringing you a three-part special looking back at all the reasons we as a nation love Geordie Shore. Howay!

 

Geordie Shore: Why Aye Love You kicks off on Tuesday 12th July, with each episode featuring a throwback to some of the show's most BELTA moments, the Geordies' legendary one-liners and their radge dance moves.

Series 13 starts on October 25th and is being billed as the 'most dramatic series ever'.

Bit of late news (well, for me!)... it appears Sophie and Kyle are returning properly for this series and Chantelle will be leaving.

Chantelle never really did properly seem to fit in and she was never very funny either, she wound me up with the whole love triangle thing really so glad to see the back of her. She's probably the worst cast member since Greg in Season 1 :lol:

 

It's going to be odd without Charlotte from now on but I'm still expecting it to be a lot of fun. Sophie has always been great too so I'm hoping she'll provide the laughs.

Ahead of the series starting tonight, there's now a movie apparently in the works.

So, it's Chantelle's final show next week (not that she'll be missed :kink:).

 

Filming of the next series is already under way, with newbies Sarah Goodheart (Ex on the Beach), Abbie Holborn and Zahida Allen arriving. Chloe has apparently been kicked out of the house following an altercation with Zahida :lol:

Ah poor Chantelle, she's never really fitted in at all and doesn't provide the laughs like the rest of the cast so won't really be that to see her go tbh.

 

I really hope Chloe doesn't get kicked off completely though, she's probably the funniest there and will be sorely missed like Charlotte (and Holly if she leaves too) for me.

That whole "script" is proper CRINGE tho. I always thought there was some element of staging and I hope it really doesn't go this far all the time... It comes across well on screen I suppose.

This is all so confusing... but apparently Holly has quit, Scott is taking a break and we have three more newbies, Eve Shannon and Billy Phillips :drama:

Five newbies now? The cast is mainly what has made it so watchable and enjoyable for so long. Charlotte was a huge loss and Holly and Scott are just a tier below her in terms of popularity. If they lost Gaz it probably would be the end but not sure what the ratings are going to be like with this new series, expecting a steep drop. At least we still have Aaron :wub: I do like Marty and Marnie too!

Confirmed properly today that Holly is definitely leaving at the end of this series. :(

Omg, I actually cried at Holly leaving, I really don't want her to go. It's been amazing watching her grow up from a purple haired 18 year old to the way more mature woman she is today. She's definitely been one of the realest cast members on the show and she seems so genuinely lovely, it'll be sad not watching her every week anymore :(
