That would be a big ask I think, but overall I think a very sound album, brilliant vocals, some tracks I love, others I like and that will probably grow, and couple I could have done without on the standard album. The deluxe tracks are all great, a couple could and should have been on the standard in my opinion. It is very eclectic as I thought, not that that's a bad thing, Keep On was and that's my second favourite album after Echoes.

I hope he sings the Deluxe tracks on the tour I'm loving You Keep On Loving Me. That's a song I could see as a single, for me Thank You doesn't do it for me as single material, Blue is very good also. What song would you like to be third single. Shame we don't really have B-Sides to singles anymore so no chance of other new tracks.

I would have opted for Promise Me as the lead single. Love Revolution doesn't even fit as an album track for me.

Just having one last listen tonight!

I really really like You Keep On Loving Me, that could be a single for me as well as Promise Me. I don't like Blue.

I don't want Thank You as a single.

It must be very difficult choosing singles. Reading comments on TD this album more than any other seems to divide fans on their favourites. Must agree about not wanting Thank You as the next single. I remember ecstatic comments from Will about Michelle's vocal but to me it just sounds like wailing.

Need another listen before I comment further.

You Keep On Loving Me should have been on the Standard Album it's my favourite track I'm also beginning to like Gold.

Nice surprise from the Sunday Mail.

Mail on Sunday 4stars

Now a career pop star Young can afford to go four years between albums. Having finally returned, he's found a balance in his sound, dialling up electronic sophistication on Brave Man, soul on Love Revolution, and adding a sincere piano ballad or two Gold and I don't need a lover, a big communal floor shaker on Joy and a gospel kiss off on Thank You for his most rounded effort to date. Sunday Times

Young's resistance to trends has served him well - his tasteful relationship tales breeze through eras and influences, while slick production makes them sound modern. His solid sixth album gets interesting when he ramps up the flamboyance factor - the result, perhaps, of his stint on stage in Cabaret.

Thank You, an ode to an ex, belies the tame title with bitchy lyrics. On Blue, he could be Mika covering ELO, while the Abbaesque Joy boasts a chorus so bombastic it practically spins out of the speakers. In sum 80 per cent of this album will waltz onto Radio 2

I agree Keep On Loving Me should have been on the Standard Album and I also quite like Gold. I really don't understand why Thank You is going to be the second single because I think Promise Me would have been a far better choice, one of my favourite songs off the Album so far. Keep on Loving Me and Where are You Tonight are wonderful as well

Saw Will's Album been advertised on ITV2 this morning during Corrie catchup :D

Listened to it once

Really like promise me,

absolutely, love 'u think im sexy'

Cant believe i am going to say this but like ' Like a river'

Absolutely love Joy and Blue cheesy but great

Like Dare

Really like 'you keep on loving me'

There are none that i have taken an immediate dislike to ...which is amazing for me because there is always one track i take a dislike to on listening to Will's new albums and couple i grow to dislike.

So i am very very happy at the moment :yahoo:

Really happy you and hubby are enjoying the Album, sure Thank You will be a grower in the end lol :cheer: but perhaps not

I've listened toThank You probably 4 or 5 times today and still can't seem to like it

Maybe when we see the video Thank You will click more.. (Very dubious though)

I'm very pleased to hear your positive verdict Sunday! :cheer:

So so good. Very proud to be involved. ❤️❤️. 85% Proof (Deluxe) by Will Young https://itun.es/gb/HhOG6

The listen through of Will Young's '85% Proof' is in. An album of impeccably executed & identifiable ballads. Crowning glory 'Like A River'

For blog consideration mail me: mandy@eqmusicblog.com

Now listened numerous times -

1) Brave Man: Good opener for the album - this could easily have been the first single - a big power ballad.

2) Promise Me - one of my favourites

3) Love Revolution - It's OK but I think I'd have preferred one of the other tracks to lead off.

4) U Think I'm Sexy - I can see this one being picked up in the clubs - it has that vibe. Just OK for me though.

5) Gold - undecided still on this one.

6) Like A River - now we're talking ... great song loved this from the first moment I heard it. Pure Will

7) Joy - not fussed about this one.

8) Blue - bouncy tune - I like it.

9) Thank You - I like it - don't love it - not keen on the wailing.

10) I Don't Need A Lover - needs to grow for me.

11) Dare - love this - one of my other favourites

12) Where Are You Tonight - really not sure about this one - quite mournful.

13) You Keep On Loving Me - This has a catchy chorus - like it a lot.

14) Always On My Mind - a cover of the Elvis track. It's OK and fits with the sentiments of the album. Not one of his best covers for me.
