I can think of a couple of bad ones = "The Spirit" 2008, probably the worst or one of the worst comic book superhero's of all time, and with such a good cast "Samuel L Jackson", "Scarlett Johansson" and "Eva Mendes". Such an awful pile of crap and just so stupid.

The Wicker Man 2006

The original was a creepy and classic horror, this one was just another awful Nicolas Cage effort, and another paycheck role for him, along with such crap as "Ghost Rider 1&2" and everything he's done in the last 10 years.

Left Behind

220px-Left_Behind_-_Teaser_Poster.jpg

Another Nicolas Cage fiasco, what the hell happened to him. there are no redeeming features about this boring pile of crap, it's just a bunch of nothing happening and that's it.

Also anything Adam Sandler has done in the last 10 years = "Jack And Jill", "That's My Boy", "You Don't Mess With The Zohan", "Grown Ups 1&2", "Blended", "I Pronounce You Chuck And Larry", "Just Go With It".

Oujia

Another big pile of crap, boring and so dull and stupid.

A Nightmare On Elm Street (Remake)

Should never have been made, what a terrible piece of shit that should have never seen the light of day and Michael Bay should be shot for even forcing this on some music video director. This just totally pisses on the original and doesn't care.

Halloween 2 (2009)

Another shitty remake, the Rob Zombie first one was bad enough, but why was this even called Halloween, it's just a hobo killing people with half a mask. Terrible.

The worst film I have ever seen is The Nut Job from last year. Absolutely terrible that film was.

Also, as much as it pains me to say this about a Carry On film (I've really gotten into the series since Easter and I've watched all the films), Carry On Colombus was really unfunny. I actually enjoyed the other "terrible" Carry On (Emmannuelle) but I did not laugh once during Colombus.

I loved The Nut Job actually, I watched it for the first time yesterday  (well I'd seen the 1st 20 minutes before but this was the first time I watched the whole movie!). I found it really enjoyable and only bad from the banishment from the community for about 15 minutes and the over use of gangnam style. I really liked the plot and the characters though.
Species II was one of the worst films I've seen. It didn't follow on from the first one and they changed the story completely

Hostel: Part II definitely another bad film. This should not be watched at all. Disgusting ending.

Think that one is bad, try watching "Hostel III" that is 10 times worse, straight to DVD crap with no budget, laughable gore effects and terrible bland actors.

Mean Girls is shit. I really cannot fathom how it is so loved.

Oh Regina! :(

One of the worst films I've ever seen is the Keith Lemon film. Utter trash!

Fifty Shades Of Grey is absolute crap. Don't see why everyone is so hyped up about it

^'The Happening' is largely hilarious although I do think there were a couple of good sequences. The ending is particularly dire from what I remember.

I can't think off the top of my head what the worst film I've ever seen is but 'Green Lantern' is pretty bad and probably the worst superhero film I've seen at least. The over use of CGI is ridiculous, I mean using it for his eye mask, really??

Out of the Bottom 100, I've seen Son of the Mask, Alone in the Dark, and Epic Movie, all of which certainly deserve a spot there. Outside of those, the later Scary Movies, Sharknado 2, Steel Magnolias, Gone Girl, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Sequel, Shrek Four Ever After, The Cat in the Hat, the second live-action Scooby Doo movie, Birdman, Fred: The Movie, Catwoman, the third and fourth Spy Kids movies are all pretty bad too.

Don't just throw 'Gone Girl' in there like it's comparable to all those other films! :o

Ooh yes I do agree (sorta) with Gone Girl :( Very disappointing. I think after reading the book any adaptation would be far inferior, they make a good job of it of course and the acting is spot on (by Rosamund Pike only really but still!) but it was far too rushed and some things hadn't been gone through as in-depth as I would have liked (like the whole Desi Collins meeting in the book was completely cut out which was a vital aspect of the story for me :/) A lot of Desi's background story had been stripped back and so he remained a two dimensional character throughout the movie.

But I wouldn't compare it to any of those titles though Ninja! Those are RIDCULOUSLY bad!

I'd also throw in Ouija, Insidious: Chaper 2, American Sniper (my hate for it has blossomed over the five months since I saw it!) and the Amazing Spider Man!

Alvin in the chipmunks 2 is in my top 10 of all time, adore that movie and seen it like 80 times :kink:

American Sniper

I thought you liked American sniper? (Or maybe I just remember you anticipating it?)

Oh no, I loved it when it first came out! Then I realised that it wasn't that good, especially after I saw Joe's point of view which made a lot of sense (after I made that long paragraph defending it :heehee: )! It took me a very long time until I realised it was just pro-America propaganda and not much else!

I think the anticipation of the movie influenced me a lot after I saw the film but now that's all gone, it wasn't really all that great.

These last couple of weeks or so I decided that this film, IS the worst film I have ever seen. Diabolical.

Oh and just NO at the 'Gone Girl' shade and hate (and 'American Sniper') :( I haven't read any of the books, so I don't get what was "missing" or how much were missing etc.. but that is one thing that has never really bothered me about movies adapted from books (maybe for the fact I don't read? I dunno). I thought the film was perfectly fine the way it was and don't get what would have made it better, without having it feel like it was dragging? The only thing I didn't like about the film, was how it ended. I hate endings where you don't know how you're supposed to feel.

Ah no Jon, the one and only thing I adored about Gone Girl was the ending! :( It was really chilling and ambiguous just like the book!

Gone Girl is a very hard book to adapt really because of the amount of content in it. An example of a big (ish) omission was the lover admitting her affair in the movie. It didn't really explain why she does it (unless I missed it?) but in the book, it just made more sense because there was an intense confrontation beforehand which led to that. It was a decent effort but I just wasn't impressed! I don't think the significance of the treasure hunt was emphasised near enough and some of the actors for a few of the supporting roles weren't that great either :/

But to be honest, I have a very biased view. I've been the BIGGEST fan of the book since it came out and so even small omissions make the film seem like it's lacking a bit of depth

Oh I agree with Left Behind, the only bearable thing about it was seeing Jordin Sparks go all crazy bitch and try to shoot everyone!

Ohhh Nelly very interesting that you've joined the Anti-American sniper camp!

*joins queue of people rushing to defend Gone Girl*

I can't believe it's been thrown out like this, I listed it as my favourite movie of last year! I'll take the point of it feeling a bit rushed (I don't entirely remember how it compares to the book) but to be fair it's already got a long running length! Not like Paper Towns which felt rushed and doesn't even clock in at two hours <_<

And I'll add myself to the anti-American Sniper brigade. Probably my second least favourite movie of this year, nothing can be as dull and tedious as Inherent Vice.

(and did anyone else clock Birdman included amongst all the other movies? :kink: Everyone's commented on Gone Girl, but not said a word on Birdman )
