August 9, 20159 yr *joins queue of people rushing to defend Gone Girl* Also joining this, I loved the movie and the plot and all the performances are amazing, especially Rosamund Pike as Amy *.* I also liked American Sniper, found it really interesting. The film I'd add for 2015 is Mortdecai, an hour and a half of my life i'll never get back :(
August 9, 20159 yr Oh yes the acting! Forgot to comment on that! Yeah... No, I don't think Ben Afleck served any justice to the role. I think in that aspect, Rosamund Pike single-handedly saved the movie performance-wise. V~Oscar worthy. I would also like to throw in Mortdecai :magic:
August 9, 20159 yr According to all the reviews and word of mouth the new Fantastic Four film should be in here. Has anyone mentioned Battlefield Earth yet?
August 9, 20159 yr Even though I didn't like the new fantastic four, I wouldn't throw it in with the worse movies only because there was just nothing particularly awful about it, it was kind of just mediocre. Wouldn't be surprised though to see other people put that in their worst movies judging by the reviews!
August 9, 20159 yr The Gallows is the worst / most disappointing film I have seen as of late. Not scary, exciting or interesting in even the slightest.
August 9, 20159 yr Think that one is bad, try watching "Hostel III" that is 10 times worse, straight to DVD crap with no budget, laughable gore effects and terrible bland actors. I've seen that too that is even worse than the second film.
August 9, 20159 yr Keith Lemon - The Movie was awful....I got the movie on DVD and I could not watch it all, Just :puke: I love Celebrity Juice tho so I thought I would like it but I was beyond wrong :puke:
August 10, 20159 yr Gone Girl was INCREDIBLE. Such a tense, thrilling and well acted movie by all involved. I don't really read books so obviously I've not read the source material, but anyone I know who has says it's terrible and the movie does a much better job.
August 10, 20159 yr Also Scooby Doo: Monster's Unleashed is AMAZING. It's obviously terrible, but it's just one of the more drug fueled cartoon episodes brought to life.
August 10, 20159 yr Ohhh Nelly very interesting that you've joined the Anti-American sniper camp! Well, you are to thank for it :heehee:

August 10, 20159 yr I've seen Gigli from that list (during the 2000 - 2005 period when my sister was a massive fangirl of everything J.Lo did, music or film wise). It's not that bad and I think only received much of a kicking as it did because J.Lo herself was experiencing a major backlash from the media at large at that time. Monster in Law with Jane Fonda a few years later was much worse. Worst films I've seen include 'A Kid in King Arthur's Court' (lazy live action Disney version of a Mark Twain novel. Sums it all up to be honest.) and 'Honest' (yes, the 'All Saints' film. Watched on a late night BBC Two showing years after they'd broken up. The Appletons and Melanie Blatt were better singers than actors, let's put it that way). Edited August 10, 20159 yr by ThePensmith
August 10, 20159 yr According to film website Rotten Tomatoes. The 25 Movies That Were So Bad They're Unmissable. http://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/articl...yre-unmissable/
August 10, 20159 yr According to film website Rotten Tomatoes. The 25 Movies That Were So Bad They're Unmissable. http://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/articl...yre-unmissable/ The thing is I have a real soft spot for films like The Giant Spider Invasion and Plan 9 From Outer Space. I used to watch stuff like that all the time late at night back in the 80s. Channel 4 even had a friday series called The Worst Of Hollywood which was brilliant.
August 10, 20159 yr The thing is I have a real soft spot for films like The Giant Spider Invasion and Plan 9 From Outer Space. I used to watch stuff like that all the time late at night back in the 80s. Channel 4 even had a friday series called The Worst Of Hollywood which was brilliant. ditto. Some of those on the list aren't excruciating to sit through, in spite of their naffness (or lack of naffness in some cases, Ishtar and a few others not that bad), but plenty of recent films have me frothing at the mouth at their awfulness when I leave the cinema....
August 10, 20159 yr Speaking of Fantastic 4, I haven't seen the latest one, but in all honesty It can't be any worse than that dire 2005 version, everything about that just stunk, the story was wrong and totally changed from the original, the acting apart from 1 or 2 decent ones, was awful. I mean nothing happens, the only big event was the bridge scene which was kinda interesting, but come on in real life they would have been arrested. The only thing I liked was the casting of The Thing, Michael Chiklis was a really good choice for the role and spot on, it was just a shame that the script was terrible, Chris Evans wasn't bad as The Human Torch, but wasn't all that great either, not performance wise, lousy script. The worst was Jessica Alba and Ioan Gfuffudd, they were just plain boring and dire, Jessica as a scientist (yeah right), it was obvious that she was just there to eye candy, and Ioan a decent actor overall, but in this he was just awful. But the biggest insult was the made backstory to Doctor Doom, why the hell did they have him on the spaceship with the others, that just took all the intrigue out of the character and any interest. I used to love the cartoon series of this when I was a kid, and still like it now, but the movie what a disappointment and half assed. The sequel was better, and the Silver Surfer was a decent addition to the story, but again the whole film was just forgettable and actually have trouble remembering it. Now actually has anyone seen the original 1994 version of "Fantastic Four" which was unreleased, okay that was bad and the special effects were laughable, but to be honest I found it better than the 2005 big budget version, okay this one was very camp, but at least it had heart and keeps you interested all the way through and the acting may be pretty bad, but come on was Jessica Alba any better, or believable.
August 10, 20159 yr The only real change in story was Dr Doom being in space during the cosmic storm too though. Alot of it was fairly accurate. Also, Sue is meant to be stunning.
August 17, 20159 yr Even more bad movies in my opinion: Color of Night- Unerotic than anything. The Shaggy Dog (2006 version)- Very bad cheesy remake.
August 17, 20159 yr I loved the shaggy dog :( Also Rage starring Nicholas Cage for me, utterly awful and one of the worst plots I have ever seen
August 18, 20159 yr I loved the shaggy dog :( Also Rage starring Nicholas Cage for me, utterly awful and one of the worst plots I have ever seen Sorry. I just find The Shaggy Dog a bit too much for my liking and at my age.
