Think I'll be sticking with the original song, but might come around to the remix a bit more.

Video is alright, it's nice but I agree that people are thrown in for the sake of it which was my worry, as much as I enjoyed seeing them.

Does someone want to make a list of which celebrities appear in the video? I recongise loads, but I kept thinking to myself 'SURELY THAT'S NOT YOU'.
I like the Kendrick parts. When is the remix out? I don't generally like long videos, but I feel this could have been a little longer, to make some of those appearances seem less pointless.
I saw some people on twitter saying it's this times Thriller but it's pretty basic tbh and the remix isn't that great either.

The first post of page 4 pretty much has them all (+ the promo images on page 3)

Oh my gosh, what was originally my least favourite song on '1989' has been drastically improved! Not just the brilliant addition of Kendrick, but the production itself sounds far more edgy and works well with the video. Anyway, really slick visuals, if a bit style over substance as aforementioned. Still a lot of fun though, I enjoyed it more than I was expecting to and I'm thrilled that I actually like the song now!
The Kendrick revamp is so much better than the original. I would have kept her second verse though. I've seen people on here complaining people were thrown in for the sake of it, but we need to remember it's a music video and not an actual film. If you were Taylor Swift, with a phonebook longer than most of her competition's chart history, and you wanted to make a camp, fun, girl power video - why would you get random extras when you can have your million dollar supermodel friends? :D
The music video feels like a build-up to something which never happened. I like the remix, far better than the original.
Taylor showing everyone how to get a 4th hit single from a massive seeking album
I wonder how much money that video cost?

By releasing a remixed version of the song which her fans don't have yet?

At least Ed and Sam didn't need to do that...

:kink:

P.s. I agree whole heartedly with Robot. I am growing to like it more, the more I watch it though. Joseph Khan is an incredible director though (he was responsible for that mini Power Rangers movie that went around not too long ago). Oh and the new remix version >>> the original!

EDIT: Actually Ed DID do a remix version of his 4th single!

(MESS!!!!!) :heehee:

There's some stunning cinematography here but I agree with Robot that nothing of note happens, it's such a non-event. The part where she getskicked out of the window is cool though.

Really do not like that remix at all.

'Blank Space' remains easily the best video of the era (and the best pop music video of the last few years)

Sam's fourth single was a new version too, John Legend was on it :kink:

I know you're trying to forget Like I Can, but that was his 4th :P

It was Money On My Mind I forgot, Like I Can is as whiny as the others so I lump that in and don't forget it

'Like I Can' is Sam's best tbh.

'Bad Blood' didn't really do anything for me on first listen, not heard the original but this remixed version sounds a bit more like Kendrick feat Taylor! Music video is boring as well.

By remixing it with a rapper? How very Katy of her.

With another high budget, CGI heavy music video as well. :o
