Amazing video, so much was happening that I don't quite understand the storyline yet but it is so high budget! Not a fan of the remix, too much Kendrick for me but I have the original so I'm not bothered!
!!! (I'm glad Taylor realised her verses were pretty C+ at best).
I'm hoping for an extended version. It seems like it should be longer than that, but maybe they just cut it down for TV.

I have literally just died. Gosh that is such wonderful perfection at it's best- that last chorus scenery is amazing, the characters are fantastic and the sets are just beyond magnificent. Just perfect :heart: :heart: :heart:

 

My only 2 things are is that i would have liked one of taylor's verses kept in as i prefer hers to kendrick's though kendrick is quite good and i hope there is an extended edition of the video like a long version :heart:

Yeah it seems like it should be a huge cinematic video, maybe when it goes on Vevo it'll be like 6 minutes. EPIC video I have to say, but SIO's vid is my fave from the era. The remix is a bit crap though, way too much Kendrick (I do like him though) and the beat is better in the original.
It all looks very glossy and high budget, the first minute before the music kicks in is great because it seems like it's setting up a big storyline, but all it is is Taylor walking through rooms and rooms of celebrities dressed like superheroes. All very "let's throw in lots of celebrities for hype but very little substance behind it". The actual aesthetic of it is impressive but given all the hyping up, it all seems a bit pointless and lacking in... anything actually going on?

Okay, firstly I LOVE the new remix. Taylor goes urban and improves the song tenfold.

 

The video is great as well, very high budget. Maybe not mindblowing due to having so many names involved, all getting about 2 seconds of camera time each. I feel like trying to pack everyone into it may have taken away from the narrative slightly and made the video feel a little more jumpy. Having said that, it still feels like a big big moment.

Okay I've finally worked out the storyline I think - I'm guessing Taylor and Selena were working together against the "baddies" in the office tower block but then Selena turns on Taylor and pushes her out the window. Then Taylor is "fixed" in Kendrick's "training centre" and Kendrick and Taylor assemble and train an army Divergent style - all of Taylor's friends - and then her army and Selena's own army come together in the final scene in front of the flames for a final battle.

 

Absolutely stunning! :wub:

The remix is PERFECT and the video is AWESOME.

 

Just gonna go rewatch.

Even more news-breaking is how cute Calvin and Taylor are.

Anyway, regarding the remix, it's so great and so much better than the original version, which I don't like.

Definitely - I thought it was very rushed as well. Some of the other characters were so rushed too, poor Hayley and Ellen :lol:
