It is famous for the 'U2 incident'. This plane was not supposed to be detectable by radars, but one was shot down four days before Bono was born. Gary Powers was the pilot. When looking for a catchy name, Adam saw an article in the newspaper about the anniversary of this downing and thought that U2 was a catchy, mysterious name.
