I know :kink: I think Thankful is a great album, but as every debut, the artist has to find their way, so the follow up is almost always better

Breakaway.

Kelly as a pure POP artist just didnt work IMO... Which is why Miss Independant was and always has been one of my stand out songs from Thankful. It had a certain edgy-ness and pop/rock side that was just perfect for Kelly which worked with Breakaway.

Agree, kelly has an edge, and that didn't fit the Thankful sound
