5 8.64 Break the Rules

Second single Break the Rules barely made any impact on the UK chart, peaking at just #35 and falling behind Boom Clap within weeks. However, it's got much more love on Buzzjack, making it within the top 5 quite safely.

On gosh :drama:

Break the rules is beyond amazing and is my joint favourite along with red balloon- it's such an amazing pop tune and fun song and I adore the video and literally everything about it

#5's pretty good for Break the Rules I think!! Especially considering what's above it.

I love the track anyway, it was really instant and although I got bored of it quickly at the time, I go back to it frequently now

4 8.66 SuperLove

Landing at #4 we have a song that was ultimately snubbed from the tracklist of the main album, but appears as a bonus track somewhere so is included here at the request of a few others. The track made it to the dizzying heights of #62, and whilst it was her first charting song as a lead artist, it evidently wasn't quite the smash her label wanted. I personally love the track, should've been included on the album I think :(

SuperLove is my favourite "Sucker" single and it's so much better than some of the album tracks. I really don't get why it was snubbed :(

3 9.05 Need Ur Luv

The highest non-single, Need Ur Luv makes it to a very respectable 3rd place, which an average of over 9! It was 2nd at one point actually, but ultimately got pushed down by another song. This would make a great single I think, and evidently Buzzjack agrees. COME ON CHARLI!

BOOM CLAP vs. DOING IT - which UK top 10 hit will triumph?

5 for Break the Rules is great! I do like the song but but still think it was a silly single choice.

Doing It to win plz.

2 9.27 Boom Clap

So ultimately, Charli's biggest solo hit comes in 2nd place. Boom Clap was featured in the film The Fault In Our Stars and featured on its soundtrack, before eventually being pushed worldwide as the first single from SUCKER. It got to #6 in the UK and reached the US top 10 too, and remains her highest peaker as a solo artist in both places. The track received one -1 score, from Heezus, but to win, it would have needed at least a score of 9 from him, so ultimately the -1 hasn't done damage to its position, Ball will be pleased to hear :kink:

1 9.70 Doing It (feat. Rita Ora)

The only collaboration on the album, Doing It was released as the third single from the album in the UK. The US had the solo version on their edition of the album but the UK got a new version with Rita Ora on vocals as well. This no doubt helped see it into the top 10, peaking at #8 in the UK and rescuing the campaign (kinda) from the floppage of Break the Rules. A very worthy winner for me, my personal favourite on the album

Thanks so much to everyone who participated and made this a great success  I apologise for the rubbish commentary throughout :heehee:

I knew that'd be the winner from the start, not that it's not deserving or anything.

Still majorly dismayed at 'Break The Rules' only being 5th, that's a special pop song in a league of its own.

Thank god for that.

Doing It 100% deserves to be #1 - it' is pop music at its absolute finest. And Boom Clap, I'd say is a worthy runner up. In fact, that's the exact top 5 ordering I'd have.

Thanks Joseph.
