It's actually #21 on iTunes (#35 and #43) and they have a lot of signing this week and since their fanbase is mostly young and can't buy on iTunes they will probably capitalize with the physical sales but yeah, they don't have radio support and the promo is pretty basic so the song will probably crash next week.

Oh dear  Love Me So wasn't particularly outstanding anyway and I wasn't huge on them during The X Factor so no huge loss really. An 8-piece boyband was never a good idea.

If they were going to use something as ridiculous as #12 in the midweek charts, why didn't they say #1 in the physical chart?

Good riddance though, there should be a legal limit of no more than 5 members in a boy band.

I even think #31/a top 40 hit in the official chart sounds more impressive than any other way they could spin it so they should have just stuck with that! Citing the midweeks is so unbelievably tragic I nearly feel bad that they've split. Nearly.

Nu 'B-list at Capital' :')

They were going to become a kickstarter group and they want hits.

Sorry to say Simon but Louis was right. 8 was not logical. Can you imagine a world tour? 8 plane tickets etc? They'd need to be banking the same as 1D if not more.

Not unexpected to be honest, this news. The trouble is that pop is now at that same place it was 10 years ago, when out and out boybands didn't make sense anymore. You had V who were launched around the same time McFly were launched (loved those guys, great album too) and who had a couple of top 10s but they were coming out at a time when Blue and then Busted split up or lost members to solo careers. Avenue who were from either 2005 or 2006's X Factor (who funnily enough had Max from The Wanted and Andy from Lawson in their number) likewise.

For a boyband to truly succeed, there has to be the demand for it from the public. There isn't that demand at the moment, and there probably won't be for at least another three/four years. Thems the breaks. Girl groups are no different, Little Mix being the exception rather than the rule with their new number 1. The trouble is you have to be either at the beginning of a new wave or at least bringing something fresh on an original concept to the table or what is the point? Having twelfty billion members wasn't the solution. And when that opinion is even coming from Louis Walsh, who usually wets his pants in excitement over that sort of thing you know you're in trouble.

At least they're honest, tl;dr is they flopped so they gave up.

Also 'BEST FAN'S EVER!!' :manson:

What saddens me the most is the trolls online with their ludicros snobbery saying things like "They'll be on the tills at MCDs soon". So what if they are? Without retail workers, I wouldn't be able to have my McChicken Sandwich.

I agree - and I bet you they'd make more money in Macdonalds than in the music industry.

I've read some rumors that some of them are forming a new boyband and that Chris (the Irish guy) and Barclay(the yodel guy) are certainly not in that band.
Looking at the 8 of them, and being aware of their talent levels on X Factor, I'm not even sure I could create a good 4 piece boy band out of them!

James, Jake, Tom & Barclay could work.

Take James or Tom out and replace with Casey. Only reason why I say those two is they've great voices to be solo but I doubt they'd find any solo success.
