NOTE: From now on the US and UK box office prediction will be together

 

Well the prediction game didn't work out so I am trying out another idea which isn't really a game. The new releases are above and you vote in the poll for what you predict the film will open with. Posse post your answers and hopefully this creates discussion

 

US new release:

Avengers 2- no explanation needed

 

UK new releases:

Far From The Madding Crowd- drama based on book starring Carey Mulligan

Monsters: Dark Continent- sequel to monsters, seems to be limited release

Two By Two- animation

Unfriended- horror set on skype

 

My predictions:

US- Avengers 2 will smash and probably break OW record. Going for $229.5M

UK- Monsters 2 will bomb with £30k, two by two solid £500k, far from madding crowd good £600k but will do better on weekdays. I was expecting around £300k-£400k for Unfriended but it seems to be opening really wide and nearly has as many showtimes as avengers at my local so going for £620k.
