Ah, rightey then. Must download it as the original is very boring.

 

Maybe filler was the wrong word. :lol: They're good tracks, but just all a bit too samey to the first album and Balaclava sounds WAY too much like a track from the The View for my likely but saying that it f***s up before the end of the track because the person who ripped it from the CD didn't do that great a job. :lol:

Oh yeah the Balaclava bit at the end is quite annoying isn't it?

 

Hmm the B-Sides are completely forgettable but, well, I expected that.

 

505 is very dull up until that crescendo (sp?) about 2 minutes in. I guess that ones a grower.

 

Balaclava is decent but all-to-samey to previous tracks.

 

And If You Were There Beware and the other two are just as equally forgettable.

 

AND after listening to a live version of Flourescent Adolescent the similarites to Mardy Bum are becoming ALL TO APPARENT.

I love 505. Hated it the first time I heard it, but the lyrics are so powerful! :o

 

I think Flourescent Adolescent is the follow up to Mardy Bum - well one of the songs on the album is anyway.

 

As for the B-sides i've only heard Temptation Greets You Like Naughty Friend, and I didn 't think too highly of that either, but I turned it up just about as loud as it could go on my PC and it really brings out the best of the track.

'What If You Were Right The First' is the other B-Side. It's the weaker of the two tbh.

 

Granted I HAVE only given all of these track 2-3 listens so there's still hope yet.

 

Oh and SPEAKING of Bloc Party remixes has anyone heard the Hadouken! version of the The Prayer? It's WUB.

Yes it is THE new single, leading the album "Volta". I've never liked her before, she's so COMPLICATED. But "Earth Intruders" is well just AMAZE.
