July 15, 201510 yr Ok im seriously not trying to troll here but can somebody tell me why Capital hasn't played any Ella music since Ghost and Yours... they still play Ghost but they haven't playlisted any of Ella's music after that. Is it really possible that they wont play her future music? They haven't blacklisted her. Capital 80% of the time only playlist songs that are already top 10, or looking very likely to make the top 10. Post-album singles often get ignored by Capital. They will still probably playlist Glitterball, but it'll be closer to release. There's a good chance they'll either playlist it tonight or next Wednesday just before release. July 15, 201510 yr Mirror Man, you'll be happy to know Sigma has been added to the Capital playlist. They should update it later and it'll get some plays from tomorrow.

July 15, 201510 yr How do you know this? :cheer: :w00t: I have a friend at Capital, he tells me their additions and what part of the playlist they are on. 'Glitterball' is only on the Post-4PM playlist for now, but will get moved up to the A list next week or the week after. Edit - it says here now - http://hitsdailydouble.com/capital_london Edited July 15, 201510 yr by Joe.
July 16, 201510 yr Glitterball is now at #146 on iTunes, which is higher than Higher ever got on pre-order (Higher's highest pre-order position, according to the pre-order peaks thread, was #174).
July 16, 201510 yr Yeah, it's #135 now. Looking very safe for the top 10. If it can continue to rise at this rate over the next week it could actually manage top 5.
July 16, 201510 yr It's been streamed 663,336 times overall on Spotify, that's the only indicator we have really as it's not top 100 right now
July 16, 201510 yr In terms of Spotify (not just UK!) and the new release 'competition' that week: 1. Glitterball 746k 2. Foxes 0 (not released) 3. Aston Merrygold 100k So that's looking good. Add in Glitterball moving to Radio 1 playlist B and upgraded on the Capital playlist next week, and its looking positive.
July 16, 201510 yr Down to 152. :( Looking to maybe reach top 15 at best. Damn. Edited July 16, 201510 yr by MyBvy

July 17, 201510 yr I actually think it has a good chance of going top 5 now if it ends up going into the top 100 before release! That wouldn't be bad at all!

I think if it does that it could actually take off- because it hasnt had much UK airplay yet. Certainly if we get a summer at any point and it gets played in holiday destinations...its a decent bit of summer pop fluff :0)
